I love this!
I am so glad I bought this on Amazon, because this exceeded my expectations. Most laser pointers are good but I wanted something more powerful because I like to use it for a custom leveling system for construction work, and this laser allows me to be outside and set a level for things 30 or so feet long, and this pointer does it with ease. The laser spot is easy to spot even 30 feet away in bright sunlight.

Bright, powerful, lasts long
Not to expensive. Very bright. Had to show my mom how to charge it. Keeps the cat interested. Seems solid enough. Also had to show my mom how to change it from pattern to pointer.

Outstanding for Astronomy, but Not Safe as a toy!
I've been using this green laser pointer for astronomy, and it's genuinely outstanding. The patterns it projects, with the starlight cap, are breathtaking. Yet, the standout feature is definitly its visibility at night. Pointing at stars, the beam is so clear and impressive. It feels solid in the hand and has a high quality feel. The built-in USB charging is a fantastic feature, making it convenient to recharge almost anywhere. However, I do wish the battery was user-serviceable. There might be times when I'm away from an outlet, and swapping batteries would be more practical than waiting for a charge.Despite its high-quality build and features, I have a significant concern. Labeling this as a "cat toy" is misleading and potentially dangerous given its power. It's crucial to be aware of the risks, such as causing instant eye damage and the legal implications of pointing it at airplanes. In summary, it's an excellent tool for astronomy and outdoor activities, but it's essential to handle it responsibly. It's powerful and not a toy.

Too strong, not good as cat toy
Not for cats… it’s a super bright laser light but not good for cats to chase. You can see the line coming out of the laser all the way to the dot. So my cats looked at the dot, followed the line and tried to attacked my hand. But I will say it’s great if you’re trying to point something out that’s far away. It’s a very strong light for a great price.

Not a Safe Device for Pets or Casual Use!!!!
I recently purchased this laser pointer, and while it may seem like a casual laser pointer to be used for cats and dogs, it's important to understand this is not a safe device those usesThe label lists a maximum output power of <5000mW (5 watts) at 532nm, which is a highly visible green wavelength. That is far beyond what is typically considered safe for public use. For reference, most laser pointers legally sold for presentations or general use are limited to 5mW or less. Anything beyond that enters the territory of industrial, scientific, or military-grade devices. This laser appears to be categorized as a Class III product, but the listed power level would suggest it’s actually Class 4 — the most hazardous category, capable of causing immediate and permanent eye injury, even from reflections. The labeling is potentially misleading and underplays the risk involved.

The green goose zapper!
I bought this to deter geese from: over fertilizing my property. Research found that a green laser is the key. After trying many other methods (i.e., letting grass grow higher, obstacles, owl-scare, red laser, etc.) that did not work I have to a say: this DID work! One night when it was very dark they were heard across the water. So, thought I would try it out. The first burst of green light and they instantly took flight honking frantically! While in the air I continued zapping them like AA fire! Incredibly, since this encounter there has been no evidence of their return! Amazing! Yes lawn is for sure greener, but not mushy...It did seem to work. For a mere $10. 'Operation Laser Goose' was an amazing success! Definitely worked for me.

Good for scaring birds, bad for pointing.
This is way too bright to use as a pointer. If it shines on a white wall, you can only look at it for a few seconds. On a dark wall, it's much easier on the eyes. I give it 3 stars because I find it scares off birds and I have a woodpecker trying to nest in the house. For the price, it's great for scaring off woodpeckers!
