Essential Medical Supply Sheepette Synthetic Sheepskin Soft Heel Protectors with Securing Strap

I accidentally whacked my elbow on the side of a booth when my family and I were out to dinner. I must have hit it really hard, harder than I thought. If I accidentally, even extremely lightly, bumped it the pain was horrible. If I unthinkingly tried to use that elbow to prop myself up while laying in bed, the pain would bring tears to my eyes. I bought this product to provide protection hoping it would help. It did! It was amazingly soft and comfortable, nice and thick, but not so thick as to be a problem with normal usage of my arm. Very easy to clean… just pop in the washer, and it’s good to go. I found it to be a great value for the money. It wasn’t expensive, but it worked as well as other similar items seen at the store which cost more. I’m very glad I bought this. It worked very well for me. It’s still in great shape so we put it up with other first aid items in case we ever need to use it again. :)

So many people have left reviews that the Velcro is on the inside of the protector, but you have to flip it inside out so the fake sheepskin is against your skin. That way the Velcro is on the outside of your foot. I bought these after foot surgery once I got my cast off, as trying to sleep in bed without any support was rubbing on the back of my heel. I have tried so many other things, but this was perfect and was able to sleep well without heel pain! Have not had them long enough to comment on the shedding, but to come in a package, so I feel like if one breaks down I’ll just throw it away.

It works as advertised, but the Velcro gets clogged and the strips are not long or wide enough to keep my mother from pushing the heel protectors off her feet.

This is a piece of GARBAGE. The velcro is so hard and stiff that it cut my skin. Dont buy it Dont buy it!!! I would rate it a negative ten if I could.

Best ever support to protect skin integrity. Comfortable and soft. Great value and even washes well.

They are comfortable, soft and perform as described. However, if you're an active sleeper they won't stay in place. Many times I have awakened to find the heel protector up around my knee. It might work for some people.

Works great for my moms heel, she loves it. This has made her bed sore on her heel bearable. Well made product

This is the first thing I bought for foot padding that worked out. And it's less expensive than most things offered. One Note is when you get the little container they are sort of inside out but you definitely want to put the soft side next to your skin. It closes with a single velcro ankle strap that feels great to me and the whole thing is really comfortable. I've been walking around with that on my foot for a couple of days now. If you have a shoe that is a little bit larger you could put it inside there. They are very lightweight and just very soft and fluffy. I forget it's on there until I need to put a shoe on. They are washable.
