Good bags
We have a liquor store and have been looking for decent compostable bags in the US. Visiting Europe we had some from our shopping and the quality is far better than anything over here. I also put one in my compost and it broke down in 6 months. I haven’t tried these yet. These also said they have a 20lbs capacity and they do. We have had great feedback from our customers and even though they are more than double the price of the plastic bags we’ve been using we’ll purchase again since they are compostable.

Long time customer, and we love these bags.
We love these bags, been using them for litter box cleaning for so long we used to have to order them directly from the company. Were pretty stoked when we found them here. They do start breaking down after about a year of storage, but that is an across-the-board thing with truly compostable-type bags, by definition they are SUPPOSED to break down quickly. As a note, we recently went up a size from the smaller grocery bag to the larger one, as it holds more weight, so if you have a lot of dirty litter to scoop and transport through the house to the trash like we do you might consider the larger size, too, as having the bottom of a bag of icky dirty kitty litter drop out on the ground, and your feet, is no fun. That only happened a few times with long-stored bags or when we really pushed the bag's weight limits, and then we didn't have it happen again because after the last time we started double-bagging. With the larger bags with the higher weight limit though there is never any need to double-bag, they hold up to about 18 pounds without the pressure of the contents tearing the bag's bottom or handles.

I'm sold on the handles
Edit: I’m disappointed to find it’s been 2 1/2 years and the bags are dead. As soon as I open one, it splits down the side. I’ve had trash spill out all over a couple times now. I’m going to have to discard the rest, and I still have a lot left.I searched and searched for compostable, small bags WITH HANDLES and this was all I could find. They're about the size of a grocery store bag, which is what I was looking for, and the handles make it easy to put on my garbage rack that was designed to hold grocery store bags (which we do not have in California anymore, and good riddance). They also make the bag easy to tie shut and carry. The biggest problem with these is that I had to buy 500! It says to use them within nine months - that is for sure not going to happen, but I think keeping them in storage will preserve them OK. I haven't had any trouble with disintegration, though I try not to put wet things in the trash.

great for using for compost pile
Durable bags, great for using for compost pile. They don't tear and are great for regular shopping bags as well or keeping groceries dry.

Love they are green
Love they are green. Be aware they smell like soy sauce. Have had one soaking in water for a couple of weeks to see how long they take to break down, I have a fishing shop and plastic bags in the water are a big problem. Bag strength is good, they are easier to open than regular plastic bags. Atlantic Outfitters.

Not "plastic"
It is hard to find retail bags that are not plastic and this item fits the bill as it is not petroleum based and is made from compostable material. Biodegradable plastic bags just break into little bits that are still harmful for the enviornment.

Not recommended
Several worked. All the rest ripped immediately. A total waste of money and resources unfortunately.
