I have ordered several blocks of mycelium here and all have grown excellent mushrooms. I busted blocks of blue oysters up for 20lb/1 5-gallon bucket of cold pasteurized straw, which fruited beautifully. Same with the pink oyster, which I am fruiting now inside in a Martha Tent on straw in bags and another batch of oysters in a bucket outside. If you get the grow kit, you get a little fine mister that I use for all of my misting. Of course, if you are just doing the fruiting from the kit, then you can’t go wrong with this easy-to-use kit. The instructions are clear and simple and the packaging is cool. I highly recommend North Spore’s mycelium blocks and kits.

They grew easily and I got a bunch. It is not a very cost effective way of buying mushrooms but I am using the growing medium, which has a lot of mycelium, as "seed" for growing an outdoor patch on cold sterilized straw. I am new to mushroom growing and the blue oyster type is supposed to be one of the very easiest to grow.

My husband and I each got an oyster mushroom kit from different companies and started them on the same day, spraying both the same amount. It's now 10 days in and his has beautiful large mushroom clusters growing and mine did absolutely nothing.Don't recommend, nothing grew.

There are multiple companies that offer mushroom kits. Northspore is a company that supports their product and provides resources for their customers. They provide numerous Youtube videos and also have a monitored chat answer tool on their website. I went from a stalled mushroom bloom to getting a 13 oz first flush, and am looking for more.... I had previously purchased a different type of mushroom kit from another vendor - had problems with it - and they never answered any emails from me. - also North Spore offers substrates and bins for your mushroom growing needs.

When this arrived shortly before Christmas, I posted a 1 or 2 star review because the thin package on the mushrooms was battered and ripped. I taped it up and gave it to my 11 year old son anyway. (He had picked out and begged Santa for this particular brand and kind of mushrooms--I don't know why, but he did do research). Anyway, I am changing my review because after 5 days of misting in our very dry Motana air, Blue Oyster spores are starting to pour out of the box. It is so cool! My son is thrilled!(ps: we did put a plastic bag with some holes in it around the box to create extra humidity

great mushroom growing kit. we got several tasty flushes or harvests of mushrooms from the block and will be following the instructions to re-fresh the kit with straw to grow more once the block seems to be spent. the mushroom growing kit would be fun for kids (with supervision/ help depending on age) and adults a like.

Even with repeated mention in the listing and on the box, there was no sprayer included. Mycium looks healthy. Will see how it produces.
