When I ordered this product I had read the reviews and people said some really foul things about this. I received my bottle this morning and so, shaved and tried it out with much anticipation. The cooling effect is instant and it absorbs quickly. The lavender scent is very subtle in this one but it’s there, it’s definitely more citrus forward, but it instantly soothes the skin and smells great!! As far as value for money goes? It’s all in what you value. I appreciate all-natural products and I don’t mind paying a bit more for it. This one was a bit over $15, but given its excellent quality? I’m thrilled!! If you’re on the fence and not really sure if you want to take the plunge? Go ahead, it’s a solid purchase and you won’t be disappointed.

I'm a bay rum fan and my favorite Bay Rum (Dominica from CA trading) seems to be discontinued, so I've been trying some new things. This product seems to have no objectionable ingredients and it feels OK on the skin. My wife and I both like the scent but is a bit too strong smelling for my tastes. (I'm of the opinion that no one should be able to smell you unless they are whispering in your ear). FWIW, I also tried Grand Bay bay rum from Dominica and it is OK , but has next to no scent and is not as good feeling as the Dominica brand. I mixed some of it with this and its a nice mix!

This is my favorite aftershave. Quality natural ingredients. Subtle scent of natural cedarwood. No alcohol/chemical burn. Leaves skin hydrated without residue.

Would not buy again as it is currently made.

I've been using their shaving soap (Lime and Eucalyptus Mint scents) for a few years and decided to try their after shave.It does cool and sooth very well with almost no sting, much like other herbal after shaves.However, my wife says the Eucalyptus Mint after shave smells like dill. I can't argue. It's probably scents from the herbal ingredients overpowering. Fortunately, the scent fades pretty quickly.

Very nice scent and very nice feel post shave, very nice aftershave splash from Taconic that lingers just faintly for an hour or so and leaves the face feeling great after a shave with a safety razor.The shave soaps are all top notch soaps as well. I have the Bay Rum and Lime soaps, both very nice slick soaps that last forever.

All skin and people are very individual, for my skin I am prone to ingrown and irritation. Eucalyptus, menthol, and mint seem to help quite a bit. With that good shaving practice is also important. After a military career and clean shaving for two decades, shaving my head bald I have tried many things. Taconic Eucalyptus Mint is superior. I have very coarse hair on my face and curly hair, I wet shave 100%. Going from what seemed like dozens of ingrown hairs with the grain now is about on or two across the grain. Great product. If you like the mint smell for a while after a shave and love a sting of menthol, eucalyptus, and mint; well it is a winner.
