I have been an EV owner for 10 years. I purchased a home Level 2 charger at the time of buying my first EV. It was installed in the garage and was connected to power using a NEMA 14-50 J1772 with a 50amp breaker. It worked just fine for 10 years, but the release button on the charging plug broke and I found it not worth the expense to replace the plug and cable. I found this Wolfbox on Amazon and was impressed with the features and the price, plus it had WiFi with an app to control/schedule which was not on my previous product. It installed very easily. You will note in the picture below I mounted it at a 45 degree angle on the wall to accommodate using a wall stud for mounting and positioning of the NEMA plug and cord. It is solidly made and I really like the hard rubber charging plug. The app was easy to understand and configure the Wolfbox. I really like the ease of scheduling the charging through the app and the charging history and cost data it records. For future app enhancements, I would like to see the ability to accommodate multiple EV charging histories (I have 2), and to download the history information. A great product from cost/performance/ease of installation/features perspectives. BTW, the 25' charging cable is a plus for me.

This WolfBox level 2 charger is excellent. Sleek design and very easy to install (literally just plug it in). I have mine set to just plug and charge since it is inside my garage but it charges my Tesla with issues and having the availability of the RFID cards or bluetooth are excellent to have for the future is I am in a position where it needs to be installed outside. When not in use the charger draws very minimal power (~12v @ nearly 0A), mostly just keeping the display and LED awake so it isn't wasting nearly any electricity when not in use.

I am very satisfied with the charger. Works as it should and was easy to install and setup. If I was only rating the charger I would give a 5 star. The app is mediocre at best. It gives you the basic info without much explanation so you have to figure it out yourself. The app Is not very interesting but will start and stop charging when you tell it too but don't count on getting much valuable information from the reports and setup. Hopefully there will be an update later. The price was great. I purchased before the tariffs so am pleased. Come on Wolf people, work on the app and I'll change it to a 5 star.

I ordered the Wolfbox charger on Friday and it quickly arrived Saturday. It was packed very well with protective foam all around it. Instructions were good and simple. Hardwiring it was very easy for me because I used the existing set up from my previous charger. It did take a few attempts to get the charger to connect to the app, but once that was done set up was easy. I've used it 2x already. Once for an hour to test it out and then charged my car from 30% - 80%. My Equinox EV got about 40 miles of range per hour. Good charger at a good price!! 100% recommend!!!

Great Level 2 charger. It work flawlessly. I only have a PHEV so it can’t take the maximum output but it cuts my charging time from empty by 2/3, 12 hours to 3.5. I have it installed inside the garage so I don’t use the RFID cards for charging access but it works well. The display gives a lot of information about charging status. I opted for the plug in even though it delivers less that the direct wired because it makes it so easy to change it out incase of charger failure. Couple of money saving tips, claim the purchase price and installation on your income tax for a 30% total spent as a tax credit. Check Wolfbox website. They often have specials and a standard $499 install which could save you on the installation cost. I think they contract with local electricians to facilitate. This is for a standard non-complicated install. Wish I had known about this. Could have saved $350 but I’m glad I have it at any rate.

I can't say anything about longevity, yet. However, I can say this is fairly simple. You'll use Bluetooth to connect to the device through the device app. Once you've done that, it'll prompt you for a password to get on your Wi-Fi. Make sure you have permissions for detecting the locations of nearby devices. This can hold you up.After that, it was easy to setup a charging schedule. You'll pick the time of day and the days of the week. I forgot to select the days at first and wasn't sure why it wasn't working. Clearly this was operator error.It mounts to the wall easily, and it does a great job charging the car up. It also feels very well made. I would definitely recommend this charger.

I had this installed about a month and a half ago. For the money this is really good. I like that it has an app that you can use and the cord is plenty long to stretch from the wall to the other side of my garage to charge my EV6. I had a professional electrician install it, and the box paired with the app with no issues. The display is good and shows you the speed of charging really clearly. I would highly recommend this box.

Easy to set up with WiFi and app. App has good functionality without going overboard. EV installations can trigger several questions, eg. is a GFCI breaker required or not, how to use with EV in-car scheduling, hard wiring, etc. Wolfbox Service Support Team answered all questions almost immediately by email, leading to a successful installation.
