My grand son just loves this, great gift for a 5 year old, but like I said almost $80 ! Wow

For whatever reason here in california we have been drenched in rain and havent been able to get the kids out much to play. So toys like this are key to keeping them entertained. Especially since we dont let our kids play unlimited video games or TV. So keeping them entertained can be a challenge on days like this. This set though really is a great toy that not only is fun to play with but believe it or not is educational!Pros:-Great deal for 2 rc cars in one.-Units are controlled from one remote which is awesome!-Long battery life for both truck and excavator-Sounds are a nice touch-Teaches control skills and hand control (all without the craziness of video games)-Excavator works great with magic sand (sand that doesnt get everywhere)Cons:-Truck trailer can only move so far so it doesnt really backup well.All in all the kids love this little set. I really love that you only need one controller. We already have a lot of construction RC cars and we had to label the controllers so we knew which one went to what. This using one controller for both the truck and excavator is great. The excavator albeit small can actually move loose dirt and magic sand! all the kids love playing with this set over the numerous other construction stuff we have since its two toys in one control!

works well no directions with it as same remote operates both vehicles. cant handle rough terrain

My two sons love everything about this set. It was a great idea building two separate construction trucks that can be controlled from a single remote. My kids love using the big hauler to get the digger out to "the site", and then switching over to the digger to roll out and get the heavy lifting done. The build of this is very solid, and it's held up to more than a few days of accidentally being left out in the sandbox. The details and colors on the set are also really nice. All in all, an awesome toy for young ones who love to build.

They must have had so little expectations for this tou that they don’t even want to provide a manual. Engineered to be garbage. Avoid this and anything else the company offers

I got this for when the grandkids come over. I have other RC cars that flip over, twirls and climb walls but this set will offer a different twist to maneuver. Ended up being I'm using it when they're not here. It's entertaining!

There is no better way to get kids outside than with a RC excavator. It's a fairly robust toy and the details are fine and life-like. The excavator can handle most terrain without problem, the truck wants a more level surface to drive on. I love there are two vehicles to drive, it would be nice to see 2 controllers too. Two batteries are included, you may speed up your charging times with a better charger. The familiar gaming control style are easy to use. You'll get good range with the 2.4ghz radio, the same frequency range as modern Drones and RC aircraft. It's a good toy to get started into the hobby and the kids seem to love it. It's a fun way to encourage kids to get some fresh outdoor sunshine and air. I'm happy with it.

My kids were excited to try this one and they started off loving it, but soon encountered issues that caused them to ultimately stop playing with it. When they got the trailer attached, they realized that there isn't an easy way to take the trailer off again. Once it snaps in place, it's basically there for good. Also, when it is in place, the trailer will only turn in very shallow arcs, meaning that it needs a HUGE area to make a full circle. There is no way to maneuver the rig like a real truck, which can jackknife to make tight turns. The trailer on this can only move to about a 130-degree angle, so you can't really pretend to back it up to a dock or something like you could with a trailer that was free-turning. They love that the excavator uses the same remote, just hitting a button to switch it over. But they soon ran into problems with the excavator as well. When it is on carpet, the tracks will come off very easily when trying to turn it on carpet. The sides of the tracks get caught a little bit in the carpet fibers and any sort of turning cause the tracks to just come right off. It's happened several times. But they love driving the excavator on and off the trailer, it's just getting it lined up (on the carpet) that causes some frustration. The set complements their other construction toys nicely. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the box art which depicts a cab-over truck, but the one in the box is a long-nose, not a cab-over. But in general they like it.
