Yarniss 17 Sizes Lighted Crochet Hooks Set 2.5mm~14.0mm, Rechargeable Crochet Hook with Interchangeable Crochet Head

I like this set of crochet lighted-base with hooks so well that I bought a back up set. I find using them to be comfortable in my hand. The light is nice, but I still need to use my bright floor lamp with a bending neck. I highly recommend.

This little hook is awesome! It’s perfect for low light settings and the options for interchangeable hooks in one place is great. It does not snag the yarn and stays charged for quite a while.

Up to now I've only used metal hooks. I actually just returned another set of hooks because they weren't perfectly smooth and just tore up my yarn.But these? These are the best hooks I've ever used.The heads are extremely easy to swap out but there's no jiggling or hint that they might pop off. They come organized in their own case with specific, fitted spots for each head. So you're not going to randomly lose them or be digging through the entire thing trying to find a specific size.The light has two different settings depending on how much brightness you need. And there's no guess work about how to turn it off/on.The head is also more pointed that a metal hook making it easier to get into tight places--my current pattern does puff stitches and these have turned them into a DREAM they're so easy to do now!The handle is well curved with enough grip to not slide around but not so much that holding it is a task on its own. Basically, it's comfortable with a really nice, ergonomic shape. I have issues with the flatter ones so this is great for my larger hands.The heads give their sizes in black, easy to read font. My ONLY complaint is that they only give the size in millimeters, not the letters. But that could be a non-issue if you're familiar enough to know what's what.

This helps big time with darker yarns to be able to see the stitches, light is bright and has one other dimmer setting. However my problem that I had, which is a minor unless you are someone with severe sensory issues, was that the hooks have a hard seam on them that catches on yarn and even slices the fibers of the yarn when rubbed against it too much, so what I had to do was lightly buff it off with a nail buffer so as not to alter the shapes of the hooks. Other than that it’s a good product for the price.

I’ve always thought it’s bad luck to switch hooks while working on something, so I resisted the temptation. When I finally opened the box, I discovered that it lacked a crochet base, which was a bit disheartening at first. However, I decided to focus on the hooks themselves to see if I liked their design. To my delight, I loved the way they felt in my hands. They were smooth with no ridges or bumps, which made the wait worthwhile!Within less than 24 hours, I received a second set, and I was completely smitten. Crocheting with these hooks was an absolute dream. The experience was fast and effortless; the handle that I initially thought I’d need to adjust to felt perfectly comfortable within moments. It genuinely reminded me of the satisfying ease you get when you open a fresh tub of butter and scoop it out with a knife—there was no catching or pulling involved! The hooks glided effortlessly through the yarn, and they felt incredibly nice to hold. I couldn't be happier with my choice!Best purchase I have made for crochet!

Nice grip. Comortable to use for the most part. The light is decent and seems to last awhile. I have not had to charge it again yet. I so far I have one used 3 of the 17 bits, 4.5, 5.0, and 5.5The 5.0 bit is a loose fit and wiggles in the socket of the lighthandle. While using it in practice, it unscrewed itself and fell out 3 times before I finally switched to the 4.5 bit. The 4.5 bit locked securely into place and is a snug fit. Did not fall out once while I was using it. 5.5, and 4.5 and lower are all this nice snug, secure fit. But just putting all the bits into the socket to see how they fit, 5.0, 6.0, and 8.0 to the biggest size all have the loose fit, wiggy issue. 8 of the 17 bits are nice to use. 9 of the 17 bits fall out while using them. Idk if I got a faulty set, or if this is how they all are, but this is my experience. I finished one project with the 4.5, and the 5.5, and the grip and length of the handle was very nice and easy to use. I just can't use more than half of the bits🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Design:I was pretty disappointed to find this is a pretty poorly made product. I liked the hook sturdiness and the ease of switching sizes but found the light feature broke after only using it about 3 times. I had it for about 5 months but only used it occasionally. I took it out with me to crochet on the Fourth of July and it started to rain. I put it away in its case in my bag to keep it from getting wet but the few raindrops that got on it ended up frying the light. It was not submerged or drenched by any means and I put it away almost immediately when I felt rain. I’m super disappointed I only got to use it a few times. I tried charging it when I got home but it was too far gone. :( Very disappointing.
