Supplemental Lighting
I expect this set of 6 lights will work well for seed trays, over-wintering prized plants and potted herbs. The wooden mount I made for the lights is 5.5 feet long suspended over a 6 foot Walmart Hart plastic shelving. I also used a pair of Vivosun's 1/8 Inch Adjustable Grow Light Hangers to make height adjustments super easy. Cable management was pretty easy with a 3 foot gap between each of the six 48-LED bulbs. Each bulbs uses 15 watts, for a total of 90 watts. Not bad specs for under $10 per light! The ability to Daisy Chain other sets of these lights together gives you the option to expand the light system if needed. I have other Vivosun products and the quality and value is top notch and proven reliable for the 3-4 years of my use as a backyard gardener.

A Bright Spot for Seedling Success
We've recently brought in the VIVOSUN Outdoor LED Grow Lights to give our seedling starting shelf a bit of a boost, moving on from the standard LED shop lights we used before. With these new lights, we're aiming to cover two shelves easily, giving our seedlings the kind of light they need to thrive.Right away, the full spectrum light these LED strings emit caught our attention. It's a step up from what we had, promising a more natural and beneficial light environment for our seedlings. The size is pretty spot-on too, stretching nicely to cover two to three of our 1020 grow trays, which is exactly what we were hoping for. But, it wasn't all smooth sailing. The amount of extra cording between each light became a bit of a headache, making the setup look more cluttered than I'd like. We managed to tackle this by zip-tying the excess cording, which helped tidy things up and made the lights fit our shelf space better.Despite this small snag, I'm really looking forward to seeing how our seedlings fare under these lights. It feels like we've made a solid investment in our nursery setup, and I'm pretty optimistic about the difference these lights will make in this year's seedlings.

Great
Easy to install, very bright, helps supplement natural light but I only wish they made them longer 😂 now I have to buy another one.

With grow lights, you get what you pay for
The good: it's an inexpensive string of grow lights. It's good for seedlings and small indoor plants. It's modestly waterproof (IP44). The string itself is actually pretty useful and can be hung from a wire. The bad: Based on the PPFD I measured, it's a very weak bulb. Despite the promo photos, don't expect to use it on vegetables. You'd really need to get the bulbs very close to the plants to get the 300-600 PPFD they need.If a bulb goes out, there's no where on the internet to buy another one. You have to buy an entirely new string. Fortunately, you can also swap it with an E26-base grow bulb from another manufacturer like GE or Sansi. The bulb can get rather hot but nothing dangerous.
