5 Stars as very Good Device at An Excellent Price For What You Get
Rather than carry around a bulky smart phone and use up it's battery and data listening to the radio in it, I have always preferred to have a separate DAB radio if any good.I had a few Pure Move and pocket Roberts Dab radios in the past, but have not had a pocket DAB for a few years.Thought I would give this device a go and I am largely very impressed with it, (a few niggles) but the cost of it makes it very easy to recommend to people looking for something simple, usable and extremely pocketable.I have been using it alot for 4 days now.First the Niggles...1. It uses Micro USB... (i guess the model is reasonably old, not a big deal for this device really, not like you are plugged into it all day like a smart ohone).2. Build...I could be wrong, but on first impressions it does feel a little bit 'delicate', I would say it will probably be okay if it fell out of my pocket to the ground, but as the device is SO light it doesn't feel as robust as radios like the Pure Or Roberts... however, this could also be a bit of an illusion as I am just so not used to having such a small and light device in my hands these days...(so will come back to this for sure in the positives)....3. Reception... Overall I would say it feels at about 95-98% of the quality of reception I would get from my old Pure move...it feels Very Very close, but just has a few more times where it will not quite get there... But it does feel very close to how I remember my experience from those years ago...(and again will mention this in the positives)...4. The supplied earphones aren't the best, but wouldn't expect them to be really, I put in some old Sony's and reception and sound became Very Good.Positives...1. Build... I just think it's weight and size are Excellent. It feels like the good old days off carrying an Apple iPod Touch where you hardly noticed it was there. Buttons are good too....It is only 60 grams, which feels incredibly light when most android phone nowadays are around 190-200 grams, you hardly know you have it in your personal which is great.2. The Clip... Nice and solid feeling clip, very good for runners and long walkers. I really like the options this gives.3. Battery Life... I would say I am getting the claimed 10-12 hours, all good.4. Reception... Yes, not perfect, but the I have never had a DAB radio that was when moving around all day... I would say though that it is Very Good. Waking around here by the south coast beach I don't get any cutouts, (I could swim in the sea with this with waterproof earphones I think, not too far out, but possible)... I was listening to it walking around North London yesterday, and on the Overground it was almost perfect (an occasional cutout)...very good experience I would say.5. VALUE and OVERALL.. i think it's a great device for the price, and it frees you up from your smart phone's battery and data (and weight and size)....for somebody like me who doesn't need to be gawping at what is basically a mini tablet all day, and just want some muscle or Talk, this is a very good to excellent option.

Easy to use and lasts
This is my second Majority pocket Radio. They seem to be more robust than some other makes. I use my own earphones as I don’t like the ones supplied - comfort wise. The last one lasted several years with almost permanent daily use. Just charge every couple of days . Good sound, easy to use, simple design and works well

Brilliant Little Radio
This Majority, Petersfield Go DAB+/FM radio was purchased to replace my ancient Pure PocketDab 1500. It is intended for bedtime listening without disturbing my wife. Despite its tiny size the controls are straightforward and easy to use.Presets are easy to setup. The Backlight and Brightness controls give plenty of options for adjustment which should satsify most night time listeners. The volume has a good range of adjustment. The controls can be locked to prevent inadvertent changes to the chosen settings. Reception on DAB+ and FM is excellent. Furthermore it can be listened to even when on charge. This is a brillian little radio, and it is manufactured in the UK.It should have been worthy of 5 stars but is unfortunately let down by the poor quality earphones. The comfort, fit and sound quality of the supplied earphones is poor. This can easily be remedied by a change of earphones. I use some HearProtek earphones. They give excellent fit and great sound. Also a longer charging cable would make life eaier. Otherwise I can thoroughly recommed the Petersfield Go, but do change the earphones.

Small, light and cost effective DAB+
I've always used Pure personal DAB radios (meaning no speaker, headphone only), which I used when walking/hiking/cycling. Pure is a good brand but expensive. Eventually the Li batteries degrade and you get less and less use time. Pure's personal range do not have user replaceable batteries, so eventually you have a less and less useful device where it only needs replacement because of the battery (crime!) Needing to replace my Pure I thought I'd try a brand I'd never heard of before - even though they are based in the city I live - Cambridge. Petersfield is a suburb of Cambridge by the way, in fact it's my location on the BBC weather app!Compared to my Pure Move 2500, the Majestic Petersfield-Go feels cheaper, lacking a quality finish and heft, but is almost THREE times less expensive. The Petersfield-Go is very light, the shiny plastic finish feels cheap and the supplied headphones look like something bundled with an 80's RadioShack cassette player! Style and construction aside, it performs really very well indeed.I only use for talk radio, so I have no comments about sound quality other than the supplied ear buds are perfectly good for talk. They are supplied with only one size of silicone tip (why?, it would add a few cents/yuan to supply S,M,L). Now for me, I find the small size supplied fits perfectly for my ears, in fact the whole unit fits my ear much better than the SoundMagic E10s I use on the Pure. For other people, needing larger tips, they would be useless. However, you can use any earphone with the radio, so no big deal to put the supplied one away. The Petersfield-Go also gets a good DAB signal using iPhone/Android earphones that have inline controls. The controls don't work on the radio, but on the Pure these earphones don't work at all because they don't allow the radio to use their cord as an antenna. This is a plus.Everything about the radio works well. Scanning, storing favourites. Good and very steady signal outdoors (marginally better than my Pure Move 2500). Controls are straightforward (the Pure's control wheel is a disaster, now abandoned). Volume is high enough, with the earbuds supplied, when outside in the wind. The box says 'full colour LCD' which is patently not true - it is a blue monochrome display. The high contrast display is fine outside in sunshine. There is no way to now if the unit is fully charged unless you keep the radio switched on. A simple red/green dot LED would have been very useful, and I for one would have paid another £5 on the price for that.I'll add an update on battery life once I've used this a few months. Early indication is that 10hrs is about right. It is cheap and cheerful. It performs well, so if you are not fazed by its looks, it is an excellent portable DAB+ device.
