Awesome piece of equipment.
All I can say is that the ET30 is an awesome piece indeed it gives my system a classic vintage look I started out just using the microphone after a few days I wired it into my system that’s the way to go it hooked up to individual left right channels it reads very well plus I can run 2 sets of speakers both at once or individually sensitivity and swing range is perfect the lighting is unreal tons of colors and you can set it so they rotate you can also dim it to your mood very nice feature the controls are dead on the knobs and case and nice aluminum the finish is perfect no interference or chatter at all and it doesn’t alter the sound quality one bit this thing is sick and definitely worth every penny the only complaint I have about it is I wish they sent the power supply that plugs into the outlet they do supply the usb cable which is kinda strange overall I rated it a 5 even though it doesn’t have the power supply but any old phone charger with usb port works fine you will not be sorry of the purchase get one you will LOVE IT.

So much fun! But beware!
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely am having the best time with this gizmo. The rgb lighting and sensitivity of the needles are both spot on. I just had one glitch during set-up to warn you about. Make sure to use the included USB-C cable or equivalent or the unit will not power on. I initially tried using my standard 30W charging brick and this unit was unable to handle the high wattage load. So, I switched to the included cable and it powered on immediately. I also simply piggy-backed a 16g wire off my speaker posts to run the meters and they work great. The built in microphone works fine with around a 40-45db volume and up but I wanted to get the signal directly from the receiver. Sound quality does not seem to be affected in any way by using this unit. So I set the sensitivity at 3 o'clock on the left and right knobs in the video and the volume is around 65 db from my amplifier with a 7.4.2 speaker set in multi-channel stereo setting. The signal to the unit is front left and front right only. Also: The remote works fine but batteries are not included at this price point.

It's fantastic, but...
Almost a 5 start product. I rarely rate things 5 stars. This item allows me to switch between amps and speakers to listen to and compare different products. I don't care about the meters or LED lights. I LOVE the ability to switch between amps or speakers with the click of a remote without leaving my seat. It is a revelation to hear gear immediately through different gear when listening to a song. Getting up to change speakers or amps introduces a time lag which makes it harder to hear differences. It gives so much clearer of a comparison. So why only 4 stars? For the most part one can adjust the sources (the amps in this case) to provide the same level of output if using a preamp or an integrated amp. But if you are listening to a single amp and comparing two speakers, there's no way to level match them. Depending on their efficiency, one speaker set may be much louder than the other, so it requires an adjustment of sound level to truly compare two sets of speakers. Speakers that are more efficient will sound louder, and that can trick you into thinking they sound more open, dynamic...better. But that may not be the actual case if you were able to listen at the same level. So I'm sorry this doesn't have level matching options. But...that's kinda niggling because it would be hard to do that well at speaker output levels. Still... In short, I'm happy to have spent the money on this, but would love to have something that allows a more direct comparison of speakers.

This is pretty much exactly what it should be.
I have no complaints, other than the blue color doesn't appear very blue, due to the yellow plates behind the VU meters.Other than that, this works well, and seems solid. The unit will still allow sound to be passed through when it's turned off, and that's something important I didn't see mentioned in the description, or even in the manual, so I thought it was worth mentioning here. For reference, when the unit is plugged in but is "turned off" with no meter activity, and no lights on, sound from my "B" amp posts gets through to my "2" speaker posts. I haven't messed around with different configurations or unplugging the unit. This was important to me, because I also run my TV audio through my amp/speaker setup, and I didn't want to have to turn on one more thing just to watch TV. I can just turn this on when I want to listen to music with the bouncing meters or switch over to other speakers. The meters are very configurable on swing range and sensitivity, meaning they're not going to be accurate, but what can you expect? This also means that the meter knob settings for one amp/speaker combo probably won't work well for another setup, which could be annoying, I guess. As far as the sound quality goes, I certainly can't hear any distortion or coloring of the sound that goes through this. That makes sense, since you can find a review of this unit at AudioScienceReview dot com that proves this is a transparent unit.Honestly, I got this because I wanted physically bouncing meters in my setup. Probably not worth the money just for that, but who asked you? It's my money and I can waste it however I want. It's definitely a solid A/B switcher, though, so if you're into that kind of thing, then it's definitely worth the asking price.
