Bedford Clock Collection Grand Antique Colonial Chiming Wall Clock with Roman Numerals in a Cherry Oak Finish, 38" L

While I have been on a flu and Dayquil induced haze I wanted a clock. Since I live in a college down I hear the clock tower chime Westminster every single day; and I love it. So I wanted one of my own. However, most clock that chime tend to be of two sets: firstly, they have a ton of reviews but they are all bad reviews. Secondly, they look nice but there are no reviews. So, I decided to just bite the bullet, and buy this clock. It’s made out of hardwood and good quality at that. It has a very nice dark cherry stain and the glass is very clear and without any issue. The pendulum does not have a no swing setting. Which I was surprised to know people wanted in a clock that has a pendulum. Now the clock is much bigger than I anticipated at “39 inches” this may be because I am only 5’1’’ but the clock came in a large very well wrapped box and upon set up I noticed that it would require me to find a stud to hang it. Otherwise you risk damage to you, the clock and your wall. The tag to hang the clock is set away from the wall so you will need to have a longer nail or screw that you input into the stud to hang it from. The only drawback is that the chimes are recorded. They are not bad, but they are noticeably recorded. However for the money the clock is great. Because as long as I have hundreds of dollars worth of classes I can assure you I will not be dropping hundreds of dollars on a clock with real chimes. The clock does require 4 AA batteries: 2 for the clock itself; and 2 for the chimes. These are not included. I’ll update after a few months.

Beautiful clock that looks more expensive than what I paid for it but I'm not crazy about the sound of the chimes. Sounds cheap, inexpensive. I'm keeping it but I may turn the chimes off, which I'd hate to do because I chose the clock because not only is it beautiful, it chimes.

The design is amazing very very beautiful, but the packaging horrible broken wood top pendulum warped dent on the bottom edge due to NO protection in packaging the clock. 1/4 inch thick foam to protect a heavy clock it's an absurd.Please, I want to order again but only if in better packaging. I apologize about the review but it is what it is.

I think maybe the shipping did something because the top part was broken off when I got it. Its always an hour a head with the dinging or chiming. But other than that I think its a great product and my dad loves it.

my clock is BEAUTIFUL! ! IM so glad I ordered this clock. the wood is beautiful. a very large clock. the chimes are magnificent. you will not be disappointed if you order this clock.

It keeps accurate time and it is a beautiful piece. I love the fact that it chimes. I am very satisfied with this purchase!

The clock looks nice but the pitiful electronic chimes are awful. I should have spent more for a better clock. Also the hanging hook is in a really awkward place. I say it’s just ok. You get what you pay for
