Delicious! Better in an electronic lunch box!
Great product! I like that it’s shelf stable and no freezer needed. Tip to make sauce thick and creamy use an electric lunch box like a Bear brand etc. & add contents with a bit less water( with a tsp of corn starch added to the water). I also add a bit of hot pepper paste, cooked fish or cooked ground beef or fish cake or veggies. Then cook for 30 mins. Take off lid add cheese and cook for 10 more minutes. Delicious and enough for 1-2 people .:-)

So yummy
These are so good I get them frequently its not very spicy but I recommend throwing a slice of cheese in it or a squirt of kewpie mayo To make it a richer creamer flavor .

Rice cakes
These were really good. I love the bbq flavor that the rice cakes have.

Not the same as sweet & spicy
I didn't think the halal version would be so different but this was kinda gross. The rice cakes aren't as chewy and the sauce looks and smells like a sweet BBQ sauce. The normal sweet & spicy has a bright red sauce and has a pleasant tomato smell. Also this stuff literally has no spice (and I'm a spice wimp). Super disappointed and even more disappointed I can't return the majority of my bulk order.Save your money and skip this - look for the normal sweet & spicy with the super bright red labels that doesn't say halal on the front.

Off-puttingly Brown
I've bought Yoppoki from my local Korean market before and I don't recall it coming out this brown. When I poured the sauce in I was alarmed. On the packaging the sauce looks red and usually the sauces of tteokbokki are colored red. The flavor is okay, nothing to write home about. The rice cakes are good!

was decenct
The rice cakes itself was good but the sauce tastes like barbecue sauce first bites were good but gets icky. You could also just add the rice cakes to a food of your choice without sauce if u don’t like it.
