Saved my wisdom tooth
I have TMD, a narrow mouth and all my wisdom teeth. I was told that as long as I can reach my teeth and brush them that there was no reason to remove them, and as I want to avoid any unnecessary procedures, I brush every night and floss daily. As a kid I was much less diligent about it and ended up needing fillings, and due to my teeth being so close together, flossing is very much a requirement for me. But again, I want to keep my teeth so I make dental care a priority. At my last dental appointment, I had to get some fillings redone, as I had developed TMD and clenched my teeth in my sleep so much I broke them. And at my last cleaning, they said it all looked good. I remember the hygenist scraping one of my wisdom teeth and her tool catching, but no one said anything, I figured they would've seen something on the X-ray, so I put it out of my mind. I brushed and flossed every day, so of course there was nothing to worry about!WRONGThis past October, I was running my tongue around my teeth just to make sure I had everything nice and clean, when my tongue brushed up on something on the same wisdom tooth the hygenist's tool caught on. I began to panic, because duh! I brush and floss dangit!! And I pried my mouth open as much as I could and looked in the mirror and saw an unmistakable sight: the edge of an unsightly grey crevice.A cavity.A very large cavity, in fact. I used a flosser to help gauge the damage and that sucker was HUGE. How did the dentist, the hygenist and I miss it for so long? This had been developing for at least a year, and obviously longer if the hygenist's tool was catching on it.I sat in horror and analyzed the situation. How could this have happened? Then I remembered I have TMD, and it was often difficult for me to open my mouth wide enough and get a toothbrush back there, so I likely got a little lazy. So what now? Was I going to have to concede and get one of my teeth of wisdom removed? Not with my stubborn self!So I did some furious researching and came across this toothpaste at the end of the research rainbow. It had a fancy ingredient that research told me would help remineralize teeth. And current research states as long as the cavity is in the first layer, it's possible to remineralize your teeth. I figured that since I wasn't crying in agony, there was a chance it wasn't too deep, but I had to make the decision NOW or I would have no other option than to lose a tooth I spent so long growing. My personal tooth! I also have never had a dentist that didn't grumble working on my teeth because of how narrow my mouth is, so I had no faith in finding one who would help me keep it. I didn't have the energy to beg and plead with them.So I bought this in the orange flavor, because mint gives me headaches, and decided to force myself every day to brush back there. It cannot be understated how huge this cavity was, so I figured it might take like six months to a year to remineralize, if such a thing was possible for me at this point. But I was determined! I had to try!I bought this toothpaste October 27th.It is now mid-January, and my tooth is almost all better. The only changes I made were not chewing food on that side, and using this toothpaste. I'm not against flouride by any means, and have seen smaller cavities remineralize with flouride as well, but for what it's worth, this did save my tooth from removal. The flavor is excellent. It reminds me of those Flintstone orange push pops from my childhood. More toothpaste needs to come in this flavor. For it fixing my tooth, I'd say it's a great pricepoint. I used more toothpaste than I usually do in my paranoid pursuit (I was always told just a pea sized amount is necessary) and probably have a month's worth left. At least. I'm not sure how to gauge it.No sensitivity. Does not foam much. I'm only mentioning these two points because Amazon seems to think it's important, but as I haven't bought traditional minty toothpaste from the big brand in years, I don't really know how to compare it. And again, not knocking any of the main brands, and you know which ones. I just can't stand mint. Why not enjoy brushing with watermelon or strawberry flavored toothpaste? Or in this case, orange dreamsicle? I'm a fully grown woman and will forever brush with tasty flavors. I'm actually excited to brush my teeth with candy fruity flavors. Try it sometime. This also came with a key. I saw some other reviews mention not getting one, but mine did.All in all, I could cry happy tears. Just a few months ago I was trying to imagine a hefty dental bill and how to afford it. I was planning a trip to Turkey and calculating how much money to save. I was trying to mentally prepare for losing my tooth, despite how hard I tried to take care of them. I was trying to make peace with the pain I was going to experience having my tooth removed, and the healing process and all that fun stuff. I felt like a failure. But a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. My tooth is 90% healed, and I'm confident as long I keep it up, the cavity will be gone entirely and become a distant horrible memory that I will recall on occasion and shudder about as it flashes into my mind during future brushings.Take care of your teeth and they will take care of you. Brush and floss every day. I will 100% recommend this toothpaste to anyone and everyone as it's effectiveness is undeniable. I had a crater in my tooth that rivaled the surface of the moon, and now it's almost gone. It works. It's that simple. It's effective and delicious. What more could you ask for in a toothpaste?

Amazing. Works perfectly
(Natural Mild Mint flavor)I have sensitive teeth. Have dealt with sensitivity to cold for so long. I have tried using all the toothpastes. Sensodyne worked for a while, but then seemed to no longer help. I also no longer wanted to use my money to support testing on animals. So all those big names (Crest/Colgate/Sensodyne/etc.) not an option, plus they cost too much and are ineffective.I used Hello and Tom's, which are cruelty free, but they didn't seem to really help long term, throughout the day. This, it is great. The minty flavor is fresh and subtle. I'm not gagging on fake mint. My teeth feel clean after brushing with this and it does give a slight whitening to them as well. Now this isn't foamy, like those previously mentioned cruel brands... But that's okay, you don't need your whole mouth to be all foamed up. You just need it to clean your teeth, keep them healthy, and help with sensitivity.I cannot recommend going the route of this tooth paste. Now yes, it is in a metal tube and people may find it annoying, however it is better for the planet and recycling... But just get yourself a metal tube squeezer. Mine has a key style, with a straight edge to help scrape the toothpaste up, then the slot to put the tube in and easily roll up, so you can get ALL of your toothpaste, nothing wasted.

Metallic taste in mouth
I’ve been using Davids Hydroxyapatite Fluoride-Free Nano Hydroxyapatite Toothpaste for a few weeks now, and there are definitely things I love about it, along with a few drawbacks.First off, it really does leave my teeth feeling incredibly clean and smooth that polished, dentist-fresh kind of clean. I also appreciate that it’s fluoride-free and uses nano-hydroxyapatite, which is supposed to help remineralize enamel and reduce sensitivity. My teeth do feel less sensitive overall, which is a huge plus. That said, I’ve noticed a persistent metal taste in my mouth after brushing, which has been hard to ignore. It’s not overpowering, but it’s definitely noticeable and kind of lingers. I’m not sure if it’s from one of the ingredients or just how my body reacts to this formulation, but it’s enough to take away from the otherwise pleasant experience.I love the clean ingredients, sustainable packaging, and the way my mouth feels after brushing but I’m still undecided on whether I’ll repurchase due to the metallic aftertaste.

my dentist says my teeth actually look healthier since using
About 5 years ago, my dentist told me he was watching a suspicious shadow on the bitewing xrays of one of my molars. He said it wasn't worth drilling yet (yay!) but would need to be filled probably in a year or two (boo!). I asked about nano Hydroxyapatite toothpaste, and he said yeah, there are studies showing hydroxyapatite can cause some remineralization of the tooth, but that he wasn't aware of any toothpaste. He was almost right: I originally had to order the only brand I could find from Japan. After a year of brushing with it, my dentist said my suspicious spot looked just the same, no worse. Then another year; same feedback. After a 3rd year of using nano hydroxyapatite products, both the dentist and hygenist started commenting on how healthy my teeth looked.I switched to this product from the Japanese one as soon as I saw it hit the market, to save money and avoid so much shipping. It seems equivalent. 5 years of using nano hydroxyapatite, and no cavities; my "suspicious shadow" isn't even mentioned anymore at my 6 month checkups. And my dentist used to tell me at each visit that my preference for fluoride-free toothpaste was going to result in tooth decay, but he doesn't say that anymore.
