These worked perfectly for preserving my sister-in-law’s body after her passing. We were originally going to get a freezer, but it wouldn’t be delivered on time. Plus, these are much cheaper and allowed for a wake. Even though we only placed them on her abdomen, they were effective at freezing up to her shoulders and kept the rest of her body very cold and well preserved for the viewing. They were discrete under the sheets and blankets, they didn’t leak or even sweat much as they thawed. I switched them out every 12 hours or so just to make sure she would stay cold and at that point they were only just beginning to thaw. Four sheets was enough to completely cover her abdomen and then some so, with the ten pack, I had frozen packs ready to go when needed. She was lying-in-state for four days before her burial and these ice sheets gave us time to allow family and friends to visit without having to worry about decomposition.All that being said, they’ll probably work very well for keeping your food cold.

we packed frozen meat in our cooler lined and topped with the sheets of dry ice. 2.5 days later, EVERYTHING, ice, meat and all was still frozen solid. Great product.

I live this type of ice packs fir my shopping bags. We drive from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours for shopping and cold packs ate a must. These get hydrated by soaking a few minutes in water. After that, they stack flat and store in freezer for easy access when needed. I much prefer these to various shaped ice packs. In my shopping bags or cooler these wrap around the food items so nicely. I can buy ice cream at the military base and it is still well frozen after we stop for lunch and drive 90 minutes back home.I know this is a lot to buy but the price is reasonable and I plan to share a few with my daughter.

Easy to use and a whole lot cheaper than dry ice. Worked well for my 8 hour flight. Would buy again.

If these needs to be soaked in water first, then when they melt, obviously the water is going to come right back out and flood whatever you are trying to keep cold. No thanks. Too messy!
