Works really well, very effective against flys and even hornets, especially at night in the dark when they are really attracted to the light. Makes a very satisfying pop when zapping a pest.

I wasn’t sure about this product when reading the reviews, as some say it didn’t work. I’ve had this for two weeks now and we’ve gone from lots of horrible blue bottles & midges flying around the kitchen and living room (because of leaving windows open in this wonderful summer weather), to none at all!!! The insects make quite a loud crack when they hit the device. Sometimes we don’t even find them in the tray after we’ve heard the crack-we think they get obliterated!!! Looks quite nice too. Really enjoy having the windows open and being insect free. We leave it on overnight. Just A little disappointed that the blurb on the site said it was rechargeable- it’s not. But that being said, I can take a star off as it does work well.

Attractive looking and I was very pleased with it when I unpacked it and got it working..... except it didn't! Sadly, the many summer flies in my kitchen didn't even notice it. It shone brightly for 6 hours or so and didn't kill a single one... So it's gone back. Maybe it might work in the dark, but that's not what I wanted it for.

Just came in a box straight of the shelf by the look of it with a label on the side. Anyway it got here in good condition and working. Nicely made quite decorative in shape . Put it on and it's a greeish light with blue at the top. But it works ! That's the main thing !!! The snap is quite satisfying but loud enough to startle as well. Bought another right away as I react badly to bites. Love it !!! The more expensive one has a light sensor to turn it off and on automatically. Great product we have bought another since then . No flies that we notice now, and if so they vanish shortly. Can now have the bedroom window open (with a net over as back up for keeping out bigger stuff like moths) Very happy customer would recommend .

Works well. Killed wasps and flies. 👍my fur face is frightened of the noise it makes.

Those little Black flies need to be exterminated as their bite hurts for ages and the bite goes through clothes too!,,This lamp did the trick….snap snap…..it does make you jump with sound and our dogs don’t like the flie either or the snapping sound……but it does do the job?

Jury’s out: it does kill flying insects - just not all of them, so you still have some flying around … seems to work best in the dusk/dark
