Amazing value for money! Quality lighter!
I used to have a black Zippo lighter decades ago, but somehow it wasn't quite "ladylike", so I started using very expensive piezo-mechanism designer lighters, which would break sooner or later, I then moved onto simple disposable lighters, but their quality deteriorated as time went on - even the refillable ones never lasted more than two refills! So I tried - and failed - to find my old faithful, reliable black Zippo.I was rather surprised how much a new Zippo lighter costs, and - being a pensioner, careful with money and no longer caring about image - I found this lighter, which looks like a Zippo, has a similar mechanism and was more than ten times cheaper. After reading the reviews, I thought that it might be pot luck in whether I would get a good one or waste my money, but decided to take the risk. I'm so glad I did! What a bargain! The lighter works great. It's comfortable in the hand, the lighter mechanism comes out easily. The light stays on in the wind and rain. I repacked the rayon, refolded the wick, all easy. However, the lighter must have been held in stock for some time, because the only thing that gave me trouble was replacing the flint - the spring got stuck inside the metal tube and wouldn't just drop out as I expected it to (hence only 4 stars for Ease of Use). But I took a piece of strong thin wire, made a tiny hook at one end, inserted it into the tube, hooked the spring, and pulled it out. It didn't take much effort, and luckily the spring wasn't distorted. I cleaned and polished the inside of the tube using a wooden toothpick, and hey presto, everything works great now. I'm now completely happy with this lighter, and like it's chunky weight - it's so much easier to use than flimsy disposable lighters, especially for aging, mildly arthritic fingers.I was expecting a dud, given the price, but got an absolute gem of a lighter, and am really pleased with my purchase. Thank you Amazon and the Seller!I've stocked up on flints and wicks, and have no doubt that this lighter will give me years of reliable service. In fact, I might buy another one to have a spare, in case I lose this one...I don't know what the other lighters are like, but the one I got is just brilliant!

Wonderful
I cannot understand why there are any bad reviews here at all?I received my lighter this morning well in the specified time. Very well packed and once opened I was amazed at what I got for only £1.62.I noticed one person said he had to get pliers to slide the inner from the outer??? What nonsense that review is because it was so easy.I had bought some lighter fluid all ready to use and easily slid the inner from the outer casing, filled up with fuel and let is soak into the cotton wool for 10 minutes. I then took it outside to test it in the wind and it worked flawlessly every time. What a lovely lighter for such a cheap price, I don't care if it only lasts 6 months because it is still cheaper then buying some of the disposable ones you see.I had a genuine Zippo years ago but sadly lost it. I thought about buying a new Zippo but then I cam across this and for the price I thought I would give it a shot.I am so glad I did because these as I say are brilliant for the price.Don't listen to the people who mention what make of flints to use or what brand of fuel lol. I bought Zippo flints because I read some of these reviews and they say Zippo flints are better and create a better spark, what a load of nonsense!! I have Ronson flints here and they work just as good. I also bought a cheap little can of fuel (Newport) and is just as good as any on the market. But to sum up this little lighter,,,,,,,,, Buy it at this price because you cannot go wrong. In Fact buy 2 or 3 because I will certainly but another after I have typed this review. They will handy to give a xmas gifts for all you smokers out there and they look more expensive than you think.Love it

Not as described.
The lighter arrived in shoddy packaging; an envelope and bubble wrap, with the lighter in a small plastic baggie inside. As soon as I got the lighter out I could tell it was used; the outer case was scratched, the inner case was rusty and had some kind of gunk/oil in it, and the insert had the same gunk along with some kind of blue paint on it.It seems to be totally luck of the draw whether you receive a decent knock off or a used piece of metal when ordering this; although for the price you can't really complain.Aside from the aesthetics, the lighter doesn't work too badly. It can however take several strikes to light (up to 10 in some cases, it tends to light around the 8th strike). The parts on my lighter were not zippo interchangeable as some of the 5* reviewers said; the insert was too small to sit tightly in my zippo case, but would fit snugly in another knock off case. Overall the product isn't bad, but it was definitely not as described, and I'm not expecting it to last very long.
