Nice to have built in shut off valves.
Installed several month ago and no problems. Thermostatic action works well to adjust water temperature.

leaks and short longevity, BUT kohler has great customer service and is helpful in finding a fix
Very disappointed, never shut off completely in it's life, always a slow drip. Now, a couple of years after install the stops are broken and impossible to use, will have to replace. Have had zero trouble with the "cheap" chinese valves I installed in two other shower installs around the same time. This is sad because they cost half the price of the kohler.

Nicely machined and finished; has a solid feel
Used this to replace a 30 year old Kohler faucet on which the plastic stem broke - I suspect due to misuse by a houseguest. Nobody likes replacing shower valves, but this one went in as expected. In operation it is smooth to adjust, turns off solidly, and fit well with the Devonshire Rite-Temp Shower Valve Trim with Lever Handle.

Nice valve
Choose this valve for a new installation and believe it was the right choice. Time will tell but nice features are shutoffs are installed in the valve body which would make it nice if the cartridge ever has to be replaced. Easy installation and performs as expected.

Works great!
I recently remodeled several bathrooms and bought two of these cartridges. The price was right and they seem to work fine. No more scalding when someone flushes the toilet or the dish washer turns on!

Poor Quality
The service stops in the valve is a very weak plastic. If you try to use it to shut off the water, don't be surprised if it breaks. They are very stiff and very weak. I am now stuck with deciding whether to change the stops, or put in a new valve which means cutting into the wall and the tiles. Kohler should not be offering such cheap material. Unless Kohler upgrades the quality I could not reccommend this valve and would not buy again.
