Can you use this as a super?

Yes it can, the only thing is as a super it can weigh about 80 - 100 pounds when full of honey. They are a little more difficult to spin especially trying to balance it if you have an odd frame left. We use medium and small boxes for supers. We use the deeps when we don’t have enough mediums. We are on fb under Api di volo Apiary if you have more questions.

How long should the wax coating last? We purchased one less than a year ago and it looks like the wax has disappeared. Is this normal?

Our hives are coated with beeswax and will last for about a year approximately. It may be accelerated by bad weather conditions, which depend on the condition of the hive. If the beeswax comes off, you can recoat it with some beeswax. This will make the hive more durable.

Where is the 8 frame box only?? I only see a 10 frame box only (not complete hive)
