Good product to use for plant pot bottoms and in pebble trays!
That’s my second bag of this product. This time I bought it to use with semi-hydroponic. Not as happy, but that’s my own expectation.Product is perfect to use for pebble trays, as a bottom layer for plant pots, to add to soil mix. With hydroponic problem is that you have to flush it multiple times with water to get rid of the dust/sand/dirt mixed in it otherwise you will have really murky water.Price is brilliant for the uses I have listed above. No point for overpaying if your planning to use it only for the bottom of plant pots!

A 10l Bag Goes a Long Way
I ordered the 10l bag thinking I'd try them before ordering loads more for my larger potted plants, however, I didn't even finish this bag!Overall the pebbles aren't exactly pretty, but they're better than soil, and will hopefully help with keeping the pot midges down too. If you want pretty I'd go for the more terracotta-coloured variants out there, however they're nearly double the price.Straight out of the bag, they do need a wash, using a seize, however this is quick and easy.

GOOD PRODUCT - BUT BE AWARE OF PEBBLE SIZE !
Obviously ideal for its intended application of hydroponics and allied uses- but do be aware of the pebble size-range of this product before you consider purchasing, as an 8-20 mm size range is quite large and is not really suitable for mixing in with standard compost for general-purpose use; and no, I haven't emptied the whole bag out to see if the smaller ones are at the bottom !! However, it's ideal for my uses of rooting down and growing on of cacti and succulents and other 'touchy' greenhouse plants. Plenty of air is afforded to the stems/cuttings/offsets by using these pebbles mixed-in with a small amount of basic compost. Big bonus for me is a fairly heavy product (by the bag) delivered to your door for free (with Prime) !

Not the best
I ordered a bag of clay underneath my plants, but they are uneven, and do not look nice. The clays are do the trick, but the pots are moving easily on the top of them.

Multiple uses for conventional gardening too.......
Been very pleased with multiple uses. Drainage for bottom of containers, mixed with compost to help avoid comptession and giving roots aeration, put on the surface of (lemon tree) containers as a deterrent from squirrel digging - it worked for a week however the pebbles look attractive and are inhibiting those weed seedlings and I think there is less root disturbance than previous. I also accidently found them useful for cuttings I placed some in a bucket of soaking pebbles to keep them upright and watered whilst potting up other plants, decided the cuttings looked happy so put cuttings and pebbles into a jar to root. I read online you could use the to improve drainage and avoid cmpaction in lawns, so yesterday suggested my husband used some of these crushed with the sandy soil he was using to fill the cracks that have appeared in our parched lawn this year, will have to wait and see what happens.

Excelente quality, very happy customer
Bigger than expected, with a good variation in sizes (I was told that is a good thing for potting mix), very little powdered left on the bag (but one needs to allow for a bit of it), excellent value and the delivery was super quick as well.Be aware that they are not the decorative kind, I would only use them for soil aeration as intended and not as ground cover.Generally I hate ordering from Amazon and avoid it as the quality of products is often well below par, not in this case, 10 out 10 from me.
