I've recently purchased the Ironwood Gourmet Fort Worth Steak Plate, and here's my take on this elegant piece of kitchenware:The Good: Design and Craftsmanship: The acacia wood is gorgeous, with a rich brown color that really enhances the look of any table setting. It's a thoughtful design that shows the maker understood steak lovers' needs.Size: At 13 x 11 inches, it's just the right size for a substantial steak with room for sides, making it versatile for different dishes.The Not-So-Good: Maintenance: While it's not a deal-breaker, cleaning can be a bit more labor-intensive than some may like. You need to be careful with water exposure to maintain the wood's quality, which means hand washing is a must. And I recommend applying some kind of wood oil to improve your experience with the plate. This can be slightly tedious compared to dishwasher-safe alternatives.Price: It's on the pricier side for a single plate, which might give pause if you're on a tight budget or if you're buying multiple for dinner parties.Overall Experience: Despite the cons, I'm very pleased with this purchase. Good design. Attractive wood with rich grain. Gave a pair to both son in-laws who grill and smoke all sorts of things. They love them for special dinners. The drip grooves function well.We use mineral oil to maintain the wood and apply a light coat after every washing.

One of these has been my primary meat plate for about 2 years (I think) that was ordered for me out of my wishlist. I use it every day. But I've cracked it and done some damage to it with vinegar, so I'm purchasing another one as nothing else on the market meets the simple requirements that this one does.I truly wish they sold a version of this, i.e. this large, without the hole drilled in it, and without the juice groove. I hate and do not need either of those things. The hole is just another place for things to spill through, and the groove just makes it harder to clean. The smaller version is just too small.I'm eventually going to start buying cutting boards and scalloping them to get what I truly want. But in the mean time, this gets the job done.

This is a nice wooden steak plate. I oiled it with cutting board oil giving the acacia wood a deep rich look. It is fun to eat off of. My only advice to the mfg. is to widen the juice groove a little.

Great steak plates! I ordered 2 , the arrived in good condition. I immediately hand washed, hand dried them, once dried , I oiled them with some olive oil . Once fully dried they were Great! I would definitely recommend these plates. 10 out of 10

This is how you're supposed to eat steak. Without the channel, the juices would overflow the plate.

Used the same day plates arrived, during first wash broke. Very disappointed, To expansive plates to brake on the first use, wood is poor quality, not good for dining use. I bought three and returned all of them.
