Rechargeable and Super Bright
I've been hesitant to write a review because I don't want the makers to up the price because of too many people loving it. But as I read the reviews, it looks like pretty much everyone loves it as much as I do.By far, this is the all-time best flashlight I've ever gotten. Extremely bright. Long lasting battery. Durable metal body. Not too expensive. Lasts for years with no issues. The only things I would change if I could would be:•1) you have to cycle through a bunch (5) modes to get the darn thing to turn off•2) the button to turn off/on breaks after repeated useI've had this current one for just over a year and it's still working great. I've also boughten the black light that looks the same on the outside as the normal flashlight does. I, personally highly recommend this flashlight to friends, family, co-workers, strangers, and anyone else that will listen. Like I said, this is by far the BEST flashlight I've ever had.

Great quality
With a bright 400-lumen output, it’s ideal for outdoor activities like camping or hiking. The adjustable beam allows you to focus the light, making it useful for both close-up and long-distance tasks. The flashlight is powered by a rechargeable battery, which adds to its convenience, and it’s built to be water-resistant, making it durable for various weather conditions. Overall, the LC40 offers excellent value with its strong performance, portability, and ease of use.

One year review
So I’m a local semi-truck driver and I needed a flashlight as I work second shift. I was looking for something smaller, but that still was very bright and durable. This flashlight has done ALL of that for me plus some. I’ve used this flashlight daily for a year now as I purchased it March 28th 2022. It has given me absolutely no issues. It’s bright, light, and I’ve dropped it MULTIPLE times on cement from it slipping out of my hands with my gloves on anywhere from 4ft-6ft high and it has never given me an issue. I’ve used it in the rain and snow with no problems either. As you could see from the picture mine is a little beat up and scratched up from use and from dropping it but as for the light itself it works as good as the day I bought it. It is MORE than bright enough especially considering how small it is. There’s two things I noticed about the flashlight that I’d like to mention though:1: The brightness of this light WILL be effected by its battery life. On a full charge it’s great, when it starts getting towards the END of its charge you start to notice it is not as bright. There’s nothing wrong with that and most people will understand that, but just to give you a heads up incase you feel like the flashlight is dying out or breaking. It probably just needs a charge.2: This flashlight does take awhile to reach a full charge. What works for me is putting it on the charger before bed and grabbing it in the morning before work. There’s also different modes on this flashlight. There’s a regular one, a fast strobe, slow strobe, etc. You can cycle through them by pressing the same on/off button the rear of the flashlight until eventually the flashlight goes to off again. Something I didn’t know was that if you click the button once the light will come on, if you press AND HOLD the button it will automatically shut off, without having to cycle through all the different types of modes again. I hope that makes sense.Definitely a 5/5 in my book. It does everything it needs to do and has held up great even after dropping it multiple times. Hope this helps!

Please read before buying
Pros: bright, solid construction, 18 month warranty, pocketable, three useful modes (BRIGHT, bright, and low), the modes are kind of annoying but you just have to learn to hold the off switch for half a sec to turn it off - then you don’t cycle through the modes. It is SUPER bright for being so small. I have been carrying it in my front pocket with my wallet, Gerber Dime MT and Kershaw fatback, I hardly notice it.Cons: battery does not seem to be replaceable, weather RESISTANT... NOT waterPROOF. Clip is too low on the body of the flashlight to be useful, the flashlight rides too high in the pocket when the clip is used. Might be useful for clipping into a bag or pouch but not for carry. It is a little thick for pocket carry but without using the clip you don’t notice it. Too bright to use for every day use - turn it on to find your way to the bathroom and you’ll blind yourself - the next setting after low is strobe so my experience was - woke up to pee, hit the low, blinded myself, tried to shut it off with a quick press and strobed myself. If you need an EDC light that you can use for things other than potentially blinding an attacker, look for one with a moonlight mode. The thorfire and stream light penlights are $15 and get good reviews.Anker stands by their warranties. Fill out a form and they send you a new one, often times no questions asked. They’re the best company from China I have ever dealt with and I own MANY of their products - cables, blue tooth speakers, and now this flashlight. I never hesitate to recommend or gift their products due to the warranty and overall quality. The light is rechargeable but I don’t see a way to do a battery swap, most of these cheaper lights seem to last about 2 years and his one is covered for the first 18 months - the rubber USB cover seems to be adequate for splashes and rain but will not be good enough to dunk underwater which does match with the description but which is also disappointing. I plan to use as an edc light. Unlike many other sellers in this space this seems to really be 400 lumens.I’ve purchased this light on 6/10/18 -

Perfect balance of light and lightweight
This is an excellent light for just about everything. I have purchased four of these over the past few years and have them in my house, truck, garage, etc. They hold a charge for well over a year and provide a very bright light when needed. The non-adjustable light beam makes the perfect beam of flood and spot and makes this light very solid and lightweight.
