Works great
I used this for a air horn application working well.Wired in with factory horn button no noticable delay.

Works great, but is directional and not marked so you get to figure it out the hard way.
This solenoid is fine, and has worked well once set up correctly. I've only run ~10psi, and usually less, through it.There are no markings on the solenoid body to indicate which direction air should flow, but the valve is directional. As fate would have it, I hooked it up backwards for starters and the air blew right through. (I had tried blowing in either port, but that was apparently insufficient pressure.) I'd suggest testing this on the bench if it's going somewhere where it will be inconvenient to swap ports later.

Perfect smart compressor air drain!
Installed at the end of an extended drain hose. It definitely is directional. At 30psi, it didn't seem to matter but at 150psi it blew like a bad harmonica. Flipped it around and it's perfect. It will even close the drain at 150 psi! I wasn't expecting that honestly. There's a definite tiny 1-2 second delay using the 12v model but that's just fine. I mounted 2 receptacles each controlled by a smart switch. Plugged the compressor into one and a 12v 2a transformer tied to the solenoid into the other. Now I can turn on my compressor, use it, turn it off and drain it using my voice and not crawling into the back corner of the garage and reaching under the compressor. Love it! If I decide to leave my compressor on for a while, I can use the solenoid as a condensation drain. It doesn't drain super fast, about the same speed as the old petcock drain, maybe a little slower. I drilled a small hole through the exterior wall and vent it outside because the drain was louder than my ultra quiet compressor. Not anymore! I absolutely love it. I did program the switches as receptacles so they would not be included in blanket statements like "turn off all lights."

Product
Very nice product

Leaky and dangerous
These valves leak profusely and they get quite hot after a short time when acuated with 12V DC... find a better product, this one is junk.

Not enough flow for air horns
I got this solenoid to fire some air horns on my truck. The solenoid itself works great but the issue is that it does not have enough flow. It restricts the air down pretty significantly so I wasn’t getting the air volume I needed at the horns. I’ll hold onto it to use for another project but If you’re plumbing up some air horns I would recommend trying a different valve.

nicely made
With 200psi it works excellent for my train horn!
