I've seen a number of reviews claiming that this flashlight cannot find cat urine - those reviews are in error. Either that or the cats are on a low phosphorous diet. I put the included batteries in (bonus points for batteries being included) and immediately went to test this out. It was able to help me locate the source of the mystery stink almost immediately, and that was in a day-lit room. At night, this thing would make it incredibly easy to find. So, tomorrow, I'll be using this flashlight and en enzyme cleaner to rid my home of the lingering smells and, thanks to this, I'll be able to monitor for spots in the future and deal with them as they happen.
