The best quality I found on Amazon
If you are putting some item into your body, you owe it to that body to choose good quality. I reviewed the many sea buckthorn products for sale on Amazon. Most were cited to have "wood pieces" and "bugs". Virtually all said "the taste is not very good."This product by Ulthmok of China has apparently been extensively hand-sorted because it is a very clean product with only whole berries, no wood pieces, no pests. Not sure if it was irradiated to kill pests. I would err on the side of a safe product rather than consuming molds or moths or "whatnot".Sea Buckthorn is something you eat almost as a health medicine. Personally, I sort of like the taste, but this is not a sweet berry. It just happens to be one of nature's premium healthy fruits, and in that exchange, it was not blessed with being good tasting. If you are looking to consume the health benefits of sea buckthorn, and want the benefits of the whole fruit, you should incorporate a small handful of this product into your daily routine.Ya, 5 stars.

Great Salad Topper
I was looking for ways to increase Omega 7 (Palmitoleic Acid) in my diet through food (versus an unregulated supplement) and came across these tart little berries. Similar in flavor to Goji berries, these are chewy, tangy and tart ... and a little flavor goes a long way. In addition to using them as a salad topper, I've sprinkled them onto lowfat cottage cheese, as well. And I may add some to homemade granola or trail mix. You can read about the health benefits of Sea Buckthorn berries on WebMD for more information. Anyway, these are an exotic and yummy food and a great source of flavor and antioxidants.

What a surprise!
I'd give a five, but these berries are super tiny and hard to work with (yes, I know they were bigger when fresh, and that they've been dehydrated, so they're much smaller). I watch Great British Menu a lot, and the judges always frown when a chef uses sea buckthorn. So I decided that I had to try some. I can't find any fresh in the U.S., so I found and bought these. They remind me of a sour, dried apricot. There's a tang to them that's actually very good. I can see rehydrating these as much as I can, getting rid of the seed in the middle, and making a sauce for duck, chicken, or pork. And yes, I can see this flavor also working in a dessert. They're apparently rather healthy, too. Overall, I'm very pleased, and would buy again.

A good suplement
Tough to fine the actual fruit, so the dried version is next best thing.

Very smelly and bitter taste
In the defense of this product, I haven’t ever use dried berries for the purpose of teas, so I came into this purchase blind. I should have done my research. With that said, this product came in a timely manner, was well packaged, and I got a lot of it for a reasonable price. As soon as I got it, I noticed a very strong smell from the berries themselves and I was hoping that after soaking them the smell would disappear but it stayed and it made it very hard to drink the tea I made from the berries. I think I will go with frozen berries for my own personal preferences.I will try again to drink it and hope the smell isn’t too bad going forward!

Excellent sea buckthorn berries
The berries are of excellent quality. Quite dry, but not overdried. There is nothing foreign in them (dirt, small leaves, etc.). I recommend.
