Does the job
The quality wasn't the best but it did the job it was designed to do. Had a bit of trouble with it breaking the rings at first but luckily had another set to use and it managed it.

Does not work for smaller sized pistons <70mm
Does not suit pistons down to 53mm not even a 60mm piston rachet mechanism does not hold on smaller sizes or close properly, I've ended up buying a different style and works great

Not great
The cog slips so you are unable to tighten it enough to install the piston without someone else holding the sleeve tight while you tap in to the cylinder

Buy cheap buy twice…
Thankfully it is not a mistake I make often…but because replacing the cylinders in an engine was going to be very much a one off job for me, I thought this set would suffice. The piston ring fitting tool was ‘ok’ but given that all but the top ring went much easier with the spiralling method, it was not really needed. It is the ring compressor that was useless. It had a small kink in the flat spring magical which I easily fixed, however the soft metal used for the teeth on the ratchet quickly failed on the first tightening up…I have not even managed to fit one of the cylinders and after careful and patient perseverance, it has got sling in the bin. Absolute waste of money. Please don’t waste your time or money…this really is cheap rubbish. Your time is worth more!
