Spenco Women's Kholo Slide Sandal

Comfortable shoe. I love Spenco sandals. Only thing I would say is that it does fit slightly looser than my others. I’ve been wearing them daily since the weather has turned warmer.

I have arthritis on my right toe and this brand was suggested to me by my doctor. I unfortunately ordered a size 8 (I am a 6.5) and had to return them as they slipped out of my foot when I took a few steps at home. But they had a very comfortable footbed and good arch support.

These are great for anyone who needs arch support in a house sandal. I’ve purchased a pair to leave at home and another pair to use on trips out of town!

I’ve bought two pairs of these now in the slide sandal and I love them. My older pair is still comfortable and holding up well after 2 years of daily wear for plantar fasciitis. But I decided I want another pair to take with me when I visit someone’s house and I need to wear my “house shoes” so I don’t end up with bad foot pain. So they travel with me and if I forget them somewhere (which I have done before), I still have my other pair at home.I compared both pairs, new and old, and I have to say I like the one I got 2 years ago much better. The newer style is more snug around the foot and the shoe itself is also smaller. I like my toes having plenty of room and the newer style fits tighter around my toes. I tried the wide even though I don’t have wide feet thinking maybe I just need the wide now. But it was too wide. So I’m sticking with the regular width even though it isn’t as comfortable as the ones I already have. I’ve included a picture comparing my old pair to my new pair. The size difference in the style is easily noticeable even though they are both the same size of sandal. I gave this a 4 star review rather than a 5 simply because of the smaller fit of the current style.In the colder months, I wear these with socks. I don’t have any issues with my sock feet sliding around inside the shoe. Which is great because I’ve had it with other “house shoes” that I wear and is why I love these above all others. I have concerns that my new pair won’t be as comfortable with socks because of the smaller width.The arch support is perfect for what I need. Not too much, not too little. I haven’t had any issues with the arch support wearing down over time which is surprising given how much I wear them. Overall, these are the best house shoes I’ve found for arch support and are comfy enough to wear all day around the house.I wash them down regularly even though I only wear them indoors and we don’t wear outside shoes in the house. I hand wash them with a little soap and hot water. They wash up really good and I’ve never had an issue with foot odor between washes. Which is surprising because again, I wear them all day, every day and foot sweat happens for me no matter how comfortable the temp is indoors.Side note: I have the flip flop version of these that I wear all summer long for outside. They are also 2 years old and holding up well. The slide sandals aren’t something I would want to wear out of the house because I don’t like the look of them. So that is where the flip flop version of these comes in. The flip flops give me plenty of support without looking like an old person style of orthotic sandals.

I have had a pair for 7 years and 11 months and worn them extensively as inside slippers. They finally started coming apart slightly, so I ordered a new pair. I am an 8 1/2 medium and last time I ordered an 8.I carefully read other reviews and this time ordered a 9. Great decision. They measured exactly the same as my almost 8-year old pair. For reference, the inside size chart says 9B or 39.5 european.I do notice I have more arch support back, not surprising give the age of the old pair.

I have horrible feet I have had several surgeries on both ankles and feet so I can only wear certain shoes. But I cannot go barefoot. So, I use these shoes for house shoes and sometimes my dress shoes or they are so comfortable I can wear them every day.

Great shoes but need to offer wide in ALL Sizes.

I have to wear $300 custom orthotics in my regular footwear to combat arch issues. My podiatrist shared my slight bunions will not worsen IF I wear proper arch support all the time, but I cannot insert my orthotics into my slipper type crocs I prefer to wear around the house. So I looked up reviews for slippers with arch support, Spenco popped up, and this style was an option that looked like I could rinse off as needed to knock the dirt off when I walk around outside. I have only worn the slippers 30 minutes at the time of this review, and all I can say is...wow! The heel mimics my custom orthotics being a deep cup. Wider than my customs, but not bad for a slipper to fit a lot of different people. I wear a size 8 in most women shoes, and the size 8 in Spenco with my boot socks fit snug. So sizing appears to be spot on. The arch support is more forward on the foot than my customs but the tarsal support was a surprising balance with this. Looking down at my slippered feet, the slight bunions on both feet disappeared...I literally am looking down at normal looking angles! THIS is the support I was searching for in household slippers. Now, if only Spenco will produce a fully rinsable/quick dry slip on shoe similar to Crocs...I would be all over it!!! Here’s hoping the support in these slippers are long lasting!
