This has many uses, but we us it mainly for making Thai green coconut curry.

It has a classic fish sauce taste. I have found that less is more with this product. It is affordable, of good quality and I use it in many dishes. I am no expert however, I would be hard pressed to be able to distinguish between an expensive brand and this product.

It works great for some cooking projects I have. It works well with my homemade Kimchi.

I normally use Three crabs or Squid. Both of which are considered the cheap stuff, simply because they're strong and get the job done. I needed "some" fish sauce to tide me over until I could get to the Asian store. This was cheap (in price) and best of all had a plastic bottle so it wouldn't crack in delivery. I bought based on another review that said this was the Honda Civic of fish sauce, and yes--it is. Nothing special, strong, or delicious about this fish sauce, but it's okay. It fills the niche and provides the right flavor without anything else. If you need something in a pinch, this is adequate.
