Worked Well in 2013 Honda Ridgeline
It put the GPS in a good viewing location and held the GPS stably in a 2013 Honda Ridgeline with the factory stereo/CD player. Did not need to be re-tightened frequently.

It's cheap, It works!...But...
This simple mount is holding a 6" Garmin snuggly in the CD slot. What's the 'but'? Nothing too serious...No written instructions...a quick trip to youtube solved that. The pictures on the product page help, it would still be nice for a simple 1-2-3 on paper. The product itself is solid and nicely finished with no sharp edges or roughness.I will add that even though it fit tight with the adjusting screw, I did take it out and add the included rubber spacers meant for a wider CD slot. Felt more secure and the rubber insulates against the metal mount and the plastic cd slot frame.Installed in a F-150...the mount is holding up fine even on uneven dirt roads.Wish I had bought this years ago, nice to get the map within easy viewing level instead of the cup holder stick or having it sit on top of the dash. Blocks a bit of the radio controls but using the steering wheel controls makes this a very small inconvenience. Next best thing to a built in unit.I'd buy it again.

Solid performance
Good grip on the CD slot. I am using it with a 7โ and a 9โ tablet. The screw handle looks different than the one from the picture. One star less for that. Otherwise easy to use and solid performance.

It WORKS in my 2021 Rav4
I was desperate to get a GPS holder for my new-to-me Rav4, before an upcoming trip. This is the one, finally. Billed as a CD-slot gizmo, but luckily there's a little slot between the radio and the vent above, and this holder jams in there firmly. If you need to fiddle with the heating controls, you can tilt the GPS out of the way. Suction GPS holders don't stick to the curves or leatherette - ditto with adhesive ones -, and are illegal (rightly so) on the windshield in my state. I didn't want to block a vent with a vent-clip holder. I had looked on-line and nobody had any ideas. I'm not paying for phone data, nor do I want to be tracked via my phone, so I never leave Location Services on. Nor do I pay for those spiffy SatNav services - they don't work in Canada, where I sometimes go. I hope GPSs don't go the way of the dodo.

Simple solution GPS holder
I needed to get my GPS off the windshield inhibiting my driving view. I saw this solution to use my CD player as a holder. It works great! It no longer blocks my view while driving and is slightly adjustable to my viewing comfort. It holds well, no jumping. No tools needed and no adhesive to scrape off later.

Didn't Fit
The mount itself seems sturdy and well built but I wasn't able to use it because the ball is too small to hold my device. I didn't know there were multiple sizes when I ordered this.

2nd. Best GPS Holder
Got this to hold my GPS in my 2006 Mitsubishi Galant Sedan ๐ car ๐ it works very well, sturdy enough to hold my 6.95โ size GPS. Doesnโt obstruct my view while driving and it hasnโt moved or fallen off โค๏ธ it. Good value, price, easy to install. It doesnโt use suction power but it does have adhesion if you need a tighter hold on it since you insert this in your CD ๐ฟ player in your car ๐ but then you canโt use the CD ๐ฟ player to listen to music ๐ถ on a CD ๐ฟ. Thatโs ok with me cause I listen ๐ to the radio ๐ป most of the time. So if you like to use your CD ๐ฟ player in your car ๐ then this isnโt for you. But perfect ๐๐ผ for me.

Good GPS holder!
Really decent GPS holder, it's got some weight and is sturdy. My 2013 Toyota RAV4 has vents with vertical slots, so I haven't been able to find a vent-mount that works. I can't use my CD player anymore but I don't care, my entire music collection is on a flash-drive that my stereo reads via USB port. Here's what I really like about using a CD slot mount for GPS:1. It makes my GPS much easier to operate since it's a lot closer to me than when it's tucked back under my windshield with the suction mount. As a rule I don't fiddle around with my GPS while driving but it's still obnoxious to have to strain forward just to get fingertips on my GPS while stopped. On road trips, my wife is navigator and she appreciates having the GPS much more within reach.2. The GPS in my car is now about 1-foot in front of the center vent of my ventilation system, so it's now catching conditioned air in the summer. I know a GPS is designed to operate in a hot environment but I get concerned about how hot it is tucked clear up where the dashboard meets the windshield and it's catching no A/C at all. I don't like my GPS being hot to the touch in an operating car, I live in a place where summer temps are routinely 95 F or hotter. With this holder, no more frighteningly hot GPS, I like that!3. Using the windshield suction mount, I have to remove the entire GPS and suction mount to put up the window shade in my car. The CD-mount eliminates this. It's nice to be able to put up and take down my window shade in seconds without messing around with my GPS and suction mount every time, too. I live in a place that gets hot in the summer and my dashboard is black, so using a window shade is a must.In the 2013 RAV4, when using the CD slot mount, the GPS blocks about half of the stereo/backup camera display. To me, it's no big deal. When backing up or changing radio stations, you can easily flip up the GPS to see the full display and then flip it back down when you're done. I'm not one who is constantly fiddling with the stereo, so I don't care.
