IT WORKS!
My GSDs are out in the country and flies biting on their ears and noses can be an issue. This year the flies are worse than usual. We used salves, sprays, etc to keep the flies off, but it didn't work. The dogs rub the salve off, and the sprays were not effective on all flies/bugs. This WORKS on ALL the bugs, immediately. One 32oz bottle ran me $10 - I appreciate a good deal and hope it stays in that range. Soooo many cautions on the bottle, but this is a NATURAL product and I've had ZERO issues with it on my skin, around my face, breathing it in (couldn't avoid it, not trying to die like the label indicates =D), and zero issues for my GSDs and cats. I applied it once to the animals and immediately, no flies or gnats or bugs sitting on them. I've done it a few days in a row and I'm not noticing the bugs coming back, even if they get in their pool and roll around on the grass. We'll see how long we can go with one application. Highly recommend this product.

Happy pup!
I'm not sure what's been different this year, but my poor dog has been eaten alive by horseflies whenever we go out. It doesn't matter whether it's a quick walk or a hike by the stream, my poor dude kept getting bitten all over--legs, ears, hindquarters. I felt bad because he was obviously miserable, so I searched for something with good reviews to help. This stuff is excellent! He doesn't LOVE being sprayed with it but he puts up with it okay, and it smells pretty good and works great.

It has helped.
The covid pandemic has made for an odd couple years. With all the lock downs and working at home; it gives a chance to notice things. In my case; one was the amount of flies. It just seemed like there were much more this year and especially on hot days.Of course having two St. Bernards also adds to the attraction. The regular fly traps helped and yet if we sat out back especially with some construction work inside (dogs are a little schizy with all the avoid people that went on); it was just a little unbearable for all the flies.I looked around for a repellent type spray and found this suggested by a few sources. I tried it out and found the smell is not that bad. It did seem to work especially when it was newly applied. I did notice it did not completely repel them. I wasn’t expecting it.I did try a few experiments of spraying new dog “deposits” on the back lawn and even the garbage can. There was a noticeable drop in the amount of flys.On one particular bad day (many flys and it was hot); I did a light spray on the of the Saints. He had a few flies. I avoided his head for obvious reasons. The flies pretty much left him alone. For the house and the gazebo we do have netting. The fly population also reduced so it does detour a great many of them. Again; not 100 percent. Far more manageable number though….Overall; I will get this again when it runs out.

packaging was absurd, no cushioning around spray nozzle, so naturally it arrived broken and leaking.
smells ok, not terribly offensive better than what I expected. value is good compared to similar products. no clue if it works, can't really tell, so maybe, maybe not.my issue was the packaging. it arrived with some plastic air pockets in the box but on one side of the thing, solely there to fill a gap in the box. a box has 4 sides y'all, and there was nothing actually wrapped around the spray nozzle to protect it, so naturally the thing was banged up pretty bad since 3 other sides of the box didn't have any protection. pics of the nozzle head attached. of course the nozzle didn't work at all, and of course there was leakage too so some lost product (and I didn't get to reuse the wet smelly box.)I had a spare spray bottle to transfer the contents to, but it's not a cheap sprayer (the empty bottle cost about as much as this product itself) and it sprays so much out no matter how I tune the nozzle that just coating a small area resulted in a LOT of product being used up. going to have to find a cheaper spray bottle before I actually bother to use any more of this stuff. maybe THEN I can actually see how well it works...

Keeps the pesky bugs away
I spray my tan color Pit bull who attracts a lot of flies, especially after I bathe him. So far this product works well and has a better scent than the other human spray.

Without a Quality Sprayer What Good Is a Spray Product?
I rarely give a one star, but in this case, this is the SECOND sprayer that has malfunctioned from this company. My first complaint is that the sprayer does not have both a misting and stream option. For my horses, I need to quickly shoot a steady stream at their legs. It needs to be quick and accurate. This sprayer shoots only a fine mist that renders the whole reason for having it useless.I've had this second bottle of Farnam Fly Repellent for less than a week and once again, the sprayer broke in my hand. No more, Farnam products for me, sorry!
