Fits the bill if simple is what you need.
Needed to replace my fireplace thermostat with the simplest thing possible but didn't need power. This one did the trick and did it well. It has its own batteries so it doesn't need power from the fireplace. Its ultra simple with just up and down arrows. It is accurate on temperature and does a better job managing the fireplace. I love tech and own an ecobee for my furnace but the need here was very different.

Amazingly easy install in an RV
It took me ten minutes to install this in my RV and now I know exactly what temperature it is set at and have peace of mind when I leave, that I have a backup to the small electric heater to keep my pipes from freezing.I have a 2020 RV which I live in a few days during the week while out of town on construction projects. I use an electric heater as my primary heat and it works great, but want the propane heater to work as a backup if it gets really cold and the heater can't keep it from freezing. This is especially important while I'm gone on the weekends, or in case the power goes out. I set the electric heater at 60 when I leave and wanted to set the propane furnace to say 50 or 55, but the old one didn't have any way of knowing what the actual setting was really at. If I set it too high, it could use up all of the propane while gone and not be there as my backup. Now I know exactly what temperature I'm setting my LP furnace at.

Great replacement for an old two wire thermostat
We just moved into a 50 year old townhouse and the Rodgers and White thermostat looked like it was something out of grandmas house. A little level that tipped a Mercury switch. My wife bought a fancy programmable WiFi 21st century smart thermostat. I read the instructions for that one and saw diagrams describing where to connect the four wires coming out of the wall. When I took the old thermostat off there were only 2 wires, a red one and a white one. The fancy thermostat went back and I bought this one. It was a simple hookup. The red wire went to RH (red heat) and the white wire went to W. The only thing that it doesn’t do is illuminate the temperature screen that displays room temperature and the temperature I want to set. No big deal, I just have to turn on the over head light in the hall to see it.

Great product-No manual
Thermostat works as it should. Was easy to install in my RV AFTER I googled the instructions. I’m deducting one star because box was open and no manual was included. I suspect I was shipped an open box item.

What a great thermostat for an RV
This product changed my mind about digital thermostats. I always liked bimetal spring based thermostats before trying this one. After all, those are passive, no batteries required, and they work on physics principles. What could go wrong? The answer is plenty! The one in my RV had sticky contacts. What I mean is the electrical contacts seemed to stick together. That resulted in a terrible problem, which the digital thermostat has solved completely. The problem was the temperature would have to drop way below the setpoint to get the furnace to turn on. Then, when on, the temperature would have to rise way above the setpoint before the furnace would turn off. This was awful. In a small RV there was no consistency in the temperature at all. It would swing widely above and below the desired setting. Plus the temperature control only had two options, ie warmer or cooler -- no actual temperature selection. This digital thermostat is absolutely one of the best upgrades I have ever done to my RV. I can select whatever temperature I want and the thermostat will control the furnace precisely. The variance is only plus or minus about 1 degree. I am thrilled with this precise control. This is saving propane, which saves me money. Plus, I love the backlight. Now I can see the temperature and the setpoint even in the middle of the night. This digital thermostat runs on two AAA batteries. I put Energizer Ultimate Lithiums in it. Those should last 2-5 years before needing replacement, they never corrode, and they are imperviousness to temperature variations. This inexpensive digital thermostat is an excellent upgrade for an RV and it has changed my opinion of digital thermostats in general. I strongly recommend this, especially if you have an old analogue thermostat in your RV.

Super easy to follow instructions.
I have a to wire system in my old house but temp control was tough when you slide indicator left and right. I was a guessing game. With Emerson you actually have a digit temp so you are ver accurate on room temp. It is a tough item to find but glad we got it.

Best Non-high tech HVAC Thermostate, period!
Ask any HVAC Tech what the best standardized old fashion no high tech non programmable thermostats that you can’t “pair” with your SmartPhone, this is it! Two different styles, horizontal or vertical both work identicallly. Replace with 2 AAA Batteries every 3 years and it even has a mellow yellow “ back-light” to see set temp and actuall room temp. Find a better Mouse Trap? You won’t find a better low tech thermostat.
