Why did you pick this product vs others?:Super cute. Would be great if the top was stainless steel vs wood. But it's adorable and a nice addition to the garden. No bugs as of yet likely due to where it was plaaced. You do need to place in an ideal environment -ex. Where rain won't get in it and avoid areas where wind blowing would make it sway. I would love for the buggies to come and make it their home but even if they don't it's nice to look at 🙂

Cute, should be a good temporary spot for the random butterfly bee or lady bug here that needs it in case they get lost on the way to their preferred sleeping arrangements and it gets too late for them or just a quick nap. plenty of spots for multiple insects of the same species. Also has spots for larger winged beetles as well. We got it for our laborious bees here and there's plenty of spots for them to cozy up.HOWEVER, Wood shavings fell out in the box during transport and couldn't manually put back in with poking my fingers on the metal screen and the wooden roof was split due to not being in proper shipping packing material. The other bug hotel I got has a metal roof which kept it intact for shipment. The manufacturers box was also bent and dented. Whoever packaged this product for shipment really failed safeguarding the product. Very haphazard. Not that I think the bugs will mind it too much - sort of like a low budget air bee n bee, but I doubt this will last a few years with the elements as a result. Luckily I don't live in a place with extreme weather changes so it might be ok. Just something to think about when buying this for wherever you are if their packaging department is complacent about quality care in handling its products for shipping.

These work so well I keep buying more! As you can see, the bees mud up the hole after laying the eggs. You do have to clean them out but a tiny bottle brush is supplied! I keep these near my garden so the bees pollinate my plants....
