Somewhat Impressive.
Very well built and well designed. A heavy, solid steel step that also acts as an excellent recovery point. It's solid and stable with no rattles using the supplied bracket kit which is also exceptionally heavy duty. The u bolt is quite thick and plate that stabilizes the hitch is about ¼" contoured steel. Finish seems good, though I suspect that based what it and where it's located periodic painting will be needed. (all hitches take a beating over time). And, it's unlikely anyone will be bumper tapping in the parking lots with this mounted. At least not without serious damage to their vehicle. I have it on a 2016 Sequoia and its perfect. Recommended.Update: the finish is garbage. Started rusting after the first rain. If you chose this, paint and clear coat it before installing. And I wouldn't trust it for any recovery efforts that push it close to its 10K max, light duty pulling should be ok.

Easy step
Good finish and perfect fit for my needs. My travel traiker rear ladder sits a little less high and I felt that I pulled to hard on the ladder while getting on it. I needed some kind of semi permanent step and this just perfectly.I like that i can can store it upside down to get a little more clearance if needed and doesn't stick out anymore than the spare tire does.I added a 2 inch bolt on hitch receiver that's also welded for added strength.

Looks Good and Solid
The step shaft fit the receiver hitch on my Tundra just fine. In order to get the U-bolt to grab squarley I had to use the second pin hole so the step went in far enough. With the U-bolt in place it is very solid. The paint was fine-no chips/rust/scratches. In order to remove the step you need to carry a 17mm wrench or ratchet. You can slip the U-bolt, with bracket and nuts, over the shaft before inserting it in the receiver hitch. It simplifies tightening the nuts. In order for someone to steal the step they'd have to have an appropriate wrench or ratchet. So, it's not impossible just time consuming. You can of course buy a locking pin if desired. The U-bolt should have come painted so as to not rust and match the step. It gives a real nice solid step from which you can swing your leg over the tailgate to get in the truck bed. The step bumper is just too narrow to do this safely. Someone referred to it as a Prius Spear-LOL.

Heavy Duty but slightly larger than advertised
Just installed today, the hitch is strong and heavy. It will not fit a Toyota 4runner 2in hitch unless you grind the coating down quite a bit. It should be noted on the product description that it is a 2in hitch PLUS the coating layer so it's more like 2.1". Not a deal breaker but you'll need some elbow grease.

good defensive deterrent
Heavy duty step. Very strong and durable. Keep it installed in my 2” receiver to prevent tailgaters and parallel parkers from doing any damage to my truck or bumper. Rest assured that whoever hits you is going to be MUCH WORSE OFF than you are with this baby mounted on your hitch. I bought it after a lady rear ended me while already stopped at a light. She claims her foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas. I had minor damage but it was inconvenient to deal with repairs. She also had minor damage. Had I been wearing this step she would have had major damage as it would have pierced her radiator and maybe worse.

heavy duty
I have HiLo's constantly loading skids in the back of my Van and this step is very strong and heavy duty, it of course makes a great step but also saves my bumper from harm without getting crushed like tube steel would. this solid cast piece is doing a great job for me. If a Hilo cracks it in the future I will update my review but so far it has been smashed every day for the first month and it barely has a scratch. I know it will get rusty due to it being cast metal but I already bought a good paint to touch it up when that starts to happen. Highly recommend . only thing that bothered me at first was the rattle sound it makes but fixed that with several plastic shims wedged in between it and the receiver...
