Great for prototyping
These are great and there’s lots of them!The colored buttons fit very securely on the switches.And the 12x12mm footprint fits on 0.1” matrix boards.

A handy selection of little push button switches for projects.. great value.
This set was better than expected. The switches are better quality than I expected and work well. The spacing fits well into breadboards. The replacable color caps is a nice touch. I did notice that the caps do not stay on well. A dab of glue helps with finish projects.You get a LOT of switches for the money. Highly recommended.

Great selection of tactile switches.
Very nice assortment of tactile switches and caps. Make sure to add a small dab of super glue or RTV so the caps won't fall off so easily. I also managed to use a Dremel to trim the caps to reduce its profile.

Nice selection
Nice assortment for doing breadboard work. Having the multicolored caps helps identify what button does what. First ones have worked fine.

there is alot of them, so its not tool bad when you find on that will not work. funny how much they gave you its like they knew some will fail, but hey when they work they work well.

I bought these for a small project and only needed maybe 4. It's always handy to have spares for other projects though.

Longer shafts does not mean you can use them on a thicker panels with the supplied caps.
The shortest switch is 6.5mm the longest is 11.5mm that is 5mm difference. BUT, when you install the caps, the difference is only 1.25mm.because the shaft is tapered, the caps slide further down the longer shafts.I expect to put the caps above my front panel to hide the holes the the shafts come through, so not good on my project. I see no reason why they tapered the long shafts the way they did. If they tapered them the same way they did the shorter shafts then I could use a panel almost 0.200" thick, but the way they are made, I'm looking at panel thickness of 0.50". You can see in my second picture that there would be no room for the button to move downward to activate on the 0.065" panel. Now---the buttons are fine, if you want to drill the hole large enough for the button to fit through, but good luck with your alignment, especially if you have six switches.
