Installed on a Craftsman 917-272281, and works so far. Use a torque wrench at the correct LBS
Installed on a Craftsman 917-272281, and works so far. Use a torque wrench at the correct LBS based the bolt you have. otherwise you'll wear out the bearings quickly.It wasn't too bad with the mower on ramps, but i had to drop the mower deck bracket. Using a my impact wrench and a ujoint socket I was able to loosen and snug it, BUT do not use the impact wrench to tighten it. The instructions tell you what the LBS to tighten it back up. If you over tighten the bearings will wear out prematurely.Worked on my small yard, but the test is when I mow the neighbors huge yard.UpdateMowed the neighbors yard twice since installing. It’s a a good 45 mins of mowing. No issues.

Fit and works PERFECTLY!!!
There is no dislikes about this pto. Exactly what I was looking for and fits and works PERFECTLY. I put this on a fs5500 craftsman with a 24hp intek v-twin Briggs and Stratton. I would recommend this to everyone!!!

Im skeptical of what clutch I recieved
Came in a plain brown box! Who knows if I got a Gen 3 pto clutch or a substitute.
