This board is well worth the price, it’s beautiful dark wood, and has been well more durable than our other board over the last six months. We have kept it clean and oiled and there are barely any knife marks, no possibility of warping, and easy to clean and maintain

I received my cutting board on 12/18/24. It came in a very sturdy box with great supporting foam so I knew it was well protected. The mosaic of the walnut wood is just beautiful!! The board is heavy and has "feet" on both sides that keep the board in place. Unfortunately for me, we had a distiller on the counter that we were unaware had leaked. We had left for 2 days and discovered it the next morning and I noticed the board had soaked up the water. I was devastated!! So I felt I probably couldn't ruin it much by trying to solve this (it rocked on the counter). I placed the board in my oven and set the temp to 175 degrees. As soon as it reached that temp, I let the board sit inside for ONE minute. I felt the board then and it was slightly warm so I removed it. I then set heavy jugs in the middle of the board and left it for 3 days. To my great delight, the board "reset" itself and I couldn't tell it had been warped! I oiled it as the heat had slightly dried it out. I attribute all this to the great quality of the board and there is no doubt I am more than happy about this product. Yes, it was a bit pricey but it should last a long time. I wrote on my calendar to oil it every 2 weeks. I love how it looks on my countertop!

This is a very well made, heavy cutting board. Honestly I would have been happy with the smaller size, but hubby wanted the large size and it looks great on the counter. You do need to oil this board, but it should last a life time without warping or cracking. No more thin, cheap bamboo or plastic boards. Keeps my knives sharp. Overall very happy with this purchase.

I had been eyeing this walnut cutting board for a while, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend the money on it at first. I finally decided to order it—and I am so glad I did!The board is absolutely stunning and elegant. It’s not just beautiful; it’s also highly functional. It’s big enough to handle all my chopping and cutting meal prep tasks effortlessly, and it is gentle on my knives.The quality and durability of this board really impressed me. This board is STURDY. I have no doubt this board will last for years if it’s well cared for. It’s the perfect combination of aesthetics and practicality.I was looking at other walnut cutting boards that were cheaper in price, but there is a reason why some other brands are cheaper—they lack quality. Beautiful and amazing quality. I purchased for my husband for Father’s Day and he loves it! He is an avid bbq/smoker guy and this has been on his want list for a while.I like the handles and how heavy it is. The juice channel is large and smooth. The box it comes it is high quality with foam. 5 stars!

i bought the edge 20" very heavy and looks amazing! this is the most expensive hardwood cutting board i have ever had. it felt smooth to touch and i polished with some home made beeswax for extra protection. I notice there a defect in the end edge on the back side of the cutting board. I'm a little surprise it was over looked during the gluing manufacturing . I'm sure there are natural marks on hardwood. However, since this is a cutting board i would expect it to be flat surface and no holes or anything that would easy harbor things. ebasically i want to use both sides of the boards as intended. and now with this unique small hole in the cutting board i will need to take take care when cleaning the board to make sure nothing is stuck in it. It's just this is an expensive board and a piece with a hole like that should have not been glued into the cutting board. otherwise it is very nice and thick should handle and hopefully last longer than my thinner cutting boards. Only time will tell.

This cutting board is beautiful out of the box. While I am just a regular dude(not a chef for decades), I can appreciate some exceptionally crafted knives and kitchen tools. This board is an equal partner in crime for your favorite high end chef blade.The board itself is beautifully crafted in appearance and function which makes it an enjoyable experience to give it the appropriate care: oil/wax/hand-wash/dry during its life and work cycle. The wood holds up to repetitions of even my sharpest knives holding its beauty over the months of use.The non-slip feet of the board are well designed in form and function. The wood is strong and holds its beauty so far under heavy volume of use. Its appearance enhances photographing food if you are into that kind of thing.The aspect that stands out most regarding this board is the customer service at Sonders. At some point while not in use, the board developed a split on the short side about quarter length down the middle of the board. After reading through some reviews, I found the Sonders email and shot them over some photos and a short narrative of the issue.The folks at Sonders consideration and engagement with me through this conversation stands out as a top end model that companies would be wise to strive for. Not only was the representative curious, considerate, knowledgeable and kind, they agreed to replace the board and got it to my residence in 2 days. It felt refreshing and a rare experience to feel a company backing their product to this level.I would highly recommend this product based solely on the customer service interaction if you are in the market for this class and style of cutting board. Not only will be in good hands throughout the life of the board, you will be casting a vote for small business's that are truly putting out a quality product and standing behind it even if its at times at their own expense which is getting to me more rare these days.
