This is a great enhancement for any room. You can fill it high enough to hear water trickling, or you can back off a bit so that it runs silent. The ceramics are not only beautiful, but they make it heavy enough so pets can't knock it over.It also serves as a great pet water fountain. My cats love to lick water from the surface or from the top fountain. The only disadvantage is that because my cats drink from it, I have to add a few ounces of water daily. My previous fountain would had enough of a reservoir to last a week before I had to replenish. Only a two or three ounces removed will make the motor run dry. Fortunately, it hasn't damaged my motor yet.

It's a beautiful fountain well worth the money. I built it easily without reading the instructions. It's quiet. I replaced the rocks they offered with crystals of my own and I like the effect for my purposes.

The media could not be loaded. If you're looking for a small, minimalist tabletop fountain that is NOT plastic, this fits the bill. It's easy to set up - attach the pump and replace the dome. The water evaporates quickly; good for adding humidity in the room but it needs some attention. I add water every day, ~ 1/2 cup, when the pump starts gurgling. Otherwise it is silent when filled. I wanted more of a trickling noise, but not too much, so I added a small rock to the top. That breaks up the flow and makes a quiet trickle. (See video.) I also added more rocks to the bowl, which was larger than I expected.

I have always enjoyed tabletop fountains for the gentle trickling sound of water and seeing the flow, however, this one in is too quiet. It is very pretty and does have adjustable flow settings, but does not make the sound of trickling water.

The pump is louder than the water, no matter how you adjust the sphere or the amount of water.You will have to refill the carrier twice a day, morning and night.The pump was clogged after two days of using it and I used bottled water only.Don't waste the money. I so regret this purchase.If I could have given negative stars, I would have.

I bought this water fountain to replace a worn out one I had previously, and it turned out to be the right size for the space, and a wonderful color. But, just to let other people know, it does uses up a lot of water rather quickly, so you have to refill it often. No big deal, all things considered. I like it a lot, and I had to shop all over the place before I finally found this one. I recommend it! And the vendor sent it very quickly, too!
