Okay…. Please read before buying or applying it. I have naturally fair skin and don’t want to sit in the sun to tan as I’ve been more conscious about sun damage. I bought this stuff as well as the Cerave body moisturizer because my skin has been super dry and I also planned to mix the products. It took some trial and error but I figured out a solution. After I shower/shave/ and exfoliate well (I just use the Tree Hut brand) I will apply about a dime sized amount of this lotion with some of my cerave lotion and rub it between my hands to mix and blend it and then I put it on my arms/legs/body and blend it well with my hands. I then take my eco tools tanning mitt on top and blend it even more using that until my skin feels “dry” or like I’m not blending it in anymore. I go gentle on my knees and elbows since those areas tend to be drier. I also used the Cerave lotion BEFORE to moisture all of my skin- then I go in with the tanning lotion and Cerave lotion mix and apply it. I then let it sit for the recommended 15 minutes BEFORE putting anny clothing on and I usually just go to sleep with it on. WASH YOUR HANDS after you use the mitt. This will prevent them from staining. I use a small buffing brush I got from target or I’ll use the eco tools tanning brush also from target to blend my hands and feet well so they’re at-least not pale white. For my face I mix the tanologist face drops with my night moisturizer- only a few drops and then use my hands to blend it well- don’t forget your neck- and to blend it up into your hairline so there’s no line. Apply the tanning lotion to your whole body including shoulders and neck/ the back of your neck- everywhere and BLENDDD with your hands and use the mitt after to smooth the product even more then I use the tanning brush by eco tools to blend my face/hands/ and feet after I used my hands to get most of it blended and put on. You can build this tan up gradually and it doesn’t make me look orange and with the routine above it has worked well for me. I did get streaks the first time I used it but I did not blend it with the Cerave lotion using my hands. Make sure the 2 products are well combined by rubbing it through your hands before applying it. Best self tanner I’ve ever used. I got the shade light/medium because I’m new to tanning and also wanted it to look more natural on me. Pictures are the day after I used this product.

It causes an allergic reaction, but I’m still giving it 5 stars. It’s not the products fault my freckly-Irish skin refuses to look golden bronze without putting up a fight. The product goes on easily and while it doesn’t have a dye guide (which I can imagine how much more it would break me out if it did) it is easy to apply. You must be careful about the feet and hands especially because you can’t see where the product is soaking it. The amazing plus side is there are no orange sheets or clothing! It doesn’t turn anything orange besides skin.It is also super moisturizing! It feels silky smooth till you wash it off. Be sure to use a great barrier cream on feet and hands and be careful around the ankles.I’m going to try to find a way to blend it with my daily lotion in the hopes I can get a consistent light tan without the rash.Picture is day 4 of product. There are some patches but it’s not that bad and it just blends in with all my freckles 🙄

Love this self tanner! I was looking for a new tanner with better ingredients and this one did not disappoint! I was hesitant to buy this because of the price, seems a little steep for me. However, I am extremely pale and don't need to use a lot AT ALL. I did both my legs with a dollop the size of a dime, that I actually mixed with aloe vera gel so that I could spread it more evenly and fully. I wasn't sure that would be enough to give me the tan that I want (which admittedly is a very light tan, as again, I'm pale as a ghost). That amount was actually a bit MUCH and still got me a little darker than I want. I will use even less next time and this bottle should last quite a while! I did both my arms yesterday and used literally like a drop, I don't know how to describe the amount maybe a 1/4 of the amount I used for both legs and it gave me just the hint of tan that I wanted. I just need it to take away the day glow white hue to my skin, lol. Love this, will use up and buy again.

This stuff works. There are a few things to be aware of. First, a little dab will go a long way. I always take a tissue and gently rub areas such as elbows, knees and ankles where there are wrinkles and possible build up. I wouldn’t recommend using every day. I use the medium to dark and it has a nice tone to it, but it could get orangey looking if you over apply. Lastly, the smell is very nice out of the tube but as it wears throughout the day you begin to get that familiar sunless tan odor. So pick and choose the timing of your applications.

This self tanner may be the best I've ever used. No streaks and it lasts close to a week. It's pretty thick, so when you rub it in, it shows white and you have to really work to spread it around, but this actually helps you see where you might have missed. The only thing I don't love is the scent - it's not overpowering or unpleasant, but I have a very acute sense of smell and it bugs me a little. I like to use this in the evening so I just make sure I wash my sheets the next day to get rid of the scent. I will definitely keep buying this.

This is the best tanning product I have ever used! I followed their directions and did a light exfoliation, but I have never gotten such a smooth and even tan in my life. I chose the medium to dark, although on my lighter skin, it gives just a medium Tan. It’s not so dark that it looks unnatural, but you can definitely tell the difference. And it hides some of my old person veins, too!
