Pros: I own two of these, one 3-4 years old, and this newer model. I like both. The sound and controls are great. I use them to listen to books and music. I like not having to worry about losing the ear pieces, especially when exercising or out and about. I also really like that I can control the volume, fast forward, etc from the neck set. The earpieces retract conveniently into the neck set.Con that’s a Pro: I use these all day, retracting the earpieces many times each day, so in both cases one earpiece stopped working within a year. The great thing is that LG has a one-year warranty. With no fuss after a quick phone call and with proof of purchase, available through Amazon, they repaired them for free and paid for all the shipping too. After the initial repair, the earpieces have not failed.

I had the rose pink ones and they were great! pink is not my color but i felt like they blended in and I wore them all the time. Ive never had a pricy pair of earphones so I was impressed with the sound quality and the bluetooth was an awesome bonus. When they finaly died, well one speaker stopped working and wouldnt retract all the way but I dont even remember how long ago i got them gifted!!, I looked for a replacement but heard awfull reviews of the brand trying to fix what was not broken, I got a cheap pair to hold me over and oh boy I didnt realize how technology spoiled I was lol. Wireless connection was awful and audio was muffled. Long story short my husband got these for me again and I am so happy since he is the one that has gotten me used to this certain type of audio lifestyle lol JK it was an awesome anniversary present. two thumbs

Initial impression is positivie. Just received it today and it paired easily with my S23Ultra. It prompted me to download an app that allows one to adjust a few details and behaviors. That's kind of nice. The earbud speakers are very quiet. I'm used to an EXFIT BCS 700 which has much more volume when listening to podcasts or on phone calls. My caller could hear me, but I had to turn my volume setting to max to hear them. It's awkwardly small. My BCS 700 fits around my neck in such a way that it hangs down in front a bit. That makes me feel it is secure and won't just slip off backwards. This LG Tone doesn't quite reach my collarbone and it has no "grip" feeling. It's so loose and flexible, like a wet noodle, I'm afraid it may fall right off. Time will tell. I'll try to update this in a week or so.7-20 update: sending them back. I consistently get 4 to 4.5 hrs of play-talk time. They don't last an entire workday 😞

so this is my 4th set of LG headphones, I have had the HBS 700 (cant remember model of 2nd set) and 1100, I wills ay 1st off the retractable speakers are an absolute must for me. thats why I went with the HBS 1100 last time. I will say though. I am in construction and use the hell out of these things so I get a couple years out of them and every time one of the speakers will crap out. but for what I pay for them I get my moneys worth ! so these new ones (HBS SL5) In my opinion soubd better than the 1100 which have harmon Kardon speakers in them, these are a bit lighter on the neck. I dont like how you have to pull on the wire to retract it. the old style you push a button. they also integrated the volume buttons with the next/last which in my opinion is fine. have no issues operating the functions 👍 the best part is these were less than 1/2 the price of the HBS 1100. all and all I am very happy with them. now let's see if they hold up to time. atleast a couple years would be nice. one function it does not have is the FF a few seconds (like the 1100 does) pretty annoying that i can't skip ahead during commercials during podcasts) correction. you can skip ahead a few seconds, but you can not verbally cant answer calls
