Not again!......
unfortunately not good. I wanted it to work so bad since i had bought one other brand before & it failed me as well. The bur wobbles due to not having a steady base (its not capable of tightening it up enough to stay in place) & is not good for precision holes.

Loving this and it does all I need and more for a bargain
If you are looking for a replacement fora tool that goes by a well-known name, I believe you have it here. I made the mistake of buying something similar from a cheap tool store and it would bog down when trying to do almost anything...no power at all. This rectified the situation and goes so fast I have to make sure that I am extra cautious. I got a little spoiled (?) by the weak version of a different brand because that wasn't throwing shavings or items anywhere...This DEFINITELY will!!I got the version without the flex shaft (I wanted this to trim 223 brass..in which case you should get some metal cutting wheels). This is perfect and is way strong enough to do whatever I need. Just be careful, wear safety glasses and stay safe. This did come with a dearth of attachments but for the motor that is in this thing, it is a beyond good trade-off since most will probably go get their own anyway. For less than 17 bucks with Prime, I cannot complain though. It is sooo much cheaper than the brand name version that I can afford to buy the specific ones I want without worrying about breaking the bank. This is pretty awesome for the price and if it does not break or wear out prematurely, it will remain a hearty 5 stars! One question though...kind of funny but it goes to level 6 for the fastest setting. Funny...like how some tools go to 11. haha I'll still take it!

With a little more effort, they might actually have a usable tool.
When my order arrived, I plugged the unit in and turned it on. There was a humming, but no motion. On further inspection, I found the shaft-lock button was locked and preventing the shaft from moving. This should not happen. Shaft lock buttons should retract when not in use. I returned the unit and ordered a replacement, figuring it was a manufacturing defect.Upon receiving the replacement, the first thing I checked (before even removing the plastic covering the power cord) was the shaft lock button. As I moved to check it, small pieces flew out onto the floor. After a diligent search, I located a small plastic button and a spring. Apparently, the plastic button is supposed to be forced away from the body of the tool by the spring, and that button, being connected to the metal shaft lock button is supposed to retract the latter from the shaft. Except the plastic button is apparently held to the shaft lock button by nothing more than a dab of glue which does not hold up. There doesn't appear to be any mechanical lock from the shaft lock button to the black plastic cover button. I reassembled the cover button and spring, thinking that perhaps it was at least partially a press fit. Wrong move. The button once again shot out of the body of the tool and while I've recovered the spring, the button has left for parts unknown. This is not a manufacturing defect. It is a design defect. At some point the plastic button WILL separate from the shaft lock button and then the shaft can lock up at any time. Additionally, when you change bits, you'll have to turn, shake or bang the tool to get the shaft lock button to drop out of the shaft.I'm returning the tool for a refund and recommend you give this tool a pass unless you're keen to make modifications just to get it to work.Amazon customer service is typically excellent and this is no exception, but I hope Amazon looks at the quality control of this item and lets the manufacturer know that with a little more effort on their part, they may actually have a usable tool.
