I needed a way to remotely disconnect a load from my crane. This fits the bill. I had to replace the pull ring with a sturdier connection, and then attach a piece of Paracord to the pull ring. Viola. I can release the load from 10 feet away. The release won't really operate under tension, but that's not a huge issue. Obviously, I wouldn't trust it in a life/safety situation, but it's SO much cheaper than any other solution I could find. I'm very happy.

Used this product to hold my SCBA mask to my turnout gear for fire fighting.

I use these quick release shackles to hold my firefighting mask to my airpack when it is not on my face. During a fire it is important to be able to quickly and reliably put your mask on without hesitation or interruption. These shackles provide a very strong hold while being stored but release quickly when seconds count. I have bought a couple of these and I know several Fire Fighters who use them and love them!They are a great buy.

Gonna try to improvise and use these on each end of a tow rope to connect a Hobie inflatable iTrek 11 pedal drive to my neighbors (bad knees & shoulders) canoe and pull him along to keep up. With these quick releases we can release if and when necessary navigating crooked rough shoal

Got the 2 pack 2 3/4” one broke on first pull. Locking pin popped out spring gone.

I use these are emergency releases when I tie my horses. They work great. Very simple to reset if they deploy.

Works fine. Caution, don't use direct loop of cord for release, or it will "hug" the shackle round tip and hang. Use a washer with cord tied to washer. Washer slips off fine.
