SHARPEN IT FIRST or at least scrape carefully to GET THE PAINT OFF THE thinnest point => CUTTING EDGE <= then spray with WD-40 or wipe with oil [grass won't stick as easy to the blade + stays sharper longer] do NOT get any oil by center mounting hole or may come loose.

Any one buying a replacement blade make sure its the right one for your mower the way it bolts on mine was a perfect fit no problems. makes a difference the way it cuts. I'm happy with this perches.
