Works perfectly for all size pinch rings even up to one inch
When I first started working with pex we used copper crimo rings and I can't say I ever had a leak when the ring was installed properly. However, unless you have multiple tools set up for different sizes it's a hassle changing the cramp head on the tool for different size pipe. When the pinch clamp came out it solved that issue as one tool could pinch the different sizes of rings. The only issue I found was as the ring size increased so did the effort needed to make the clamp. When I got to one inch rings it was most difficult with a hand tool sometimes almost impossible. When Ryobi introduced their battery powered pinch clamp tool at a reasonable price it was a blessing. I have found this tool handles all sizes with these. Being a larger tool sometimes it is difficult to get into a tight area, but for the majority of the time it works great. I will say I don't use Ryobi batteries. I simply purchased an adapter off Amazon that allows me to slide in 18 Volt Mikita batteries instead as our battery powered tools are all Makita. If you're doing PEX and doing any quantity of piping I highly recommend this tool.

Well built and works great.
I am a DIYer and was looking for a cordless Pex pinch clamp tool. Did I really need one? NO. I already have a manual ratcheting Pex clamp tool for my RV that is plumbed with Pex but I am in the process of remodeling my master bath and am going to use PEX so it is an excellent excuse to buy one...plus I like tools and gadgets.I purchased the tool only, along with a battery adapter so I can use my DeWalt 20V Max batteries in it.This tool is well built and has some weight to it. It does not feel cheap and it has a nice beefy feel to it in your hand. FYI, This tool is for the PEX pinch cinch clamps, the tool pinches the clamp from the side. This tool is NOT for the Pex Crimp clamps rings , the tool that goes around the whole PEX clamp and squeezes it down. The tool works great and cinches the clamp tight. The great thing about using this tool is that you only need one hand to make the crimp. You can hold the PEX pipe tight against the fitting with one hand and use the tool with the other to make a perfect crimp. With the ratcheting hand tool you need both hands to use the tool. I really like this tool and recommend it...

I love it. My hands don't get tired.
It saves a lot of man power when you need to crimp many fittings. I would give 5 stars but I found that the manual crimper was able to squeeze a little bit more the ring than the power tool. However there are leaks so far after over 100 crimps with water pressure of a 70 psi.

A little heavy
A little heavy, but much easier than the manual crimper. I like the verification light at the bottom to let me know the crimp was successful. I did have a difficult time in tight areas and learned to pre-make some parts as the size is prohibitive in some cases. It was rather spendy but with arthritis it was necessary. The 4ah battery lasted through an entire home replumb without recharge, no issues to date.
