Reliable Netgear Kit (again)
Does the job of supplying a more reliable connection to an upstairs PC without impacting the overall quality on the main router, which cheaper boosters/bridges have done. It's expensive but it works without fuss. I also have a Netgear nighthawk router which has been consistently great too- with both of these I actually get the speed and quality that virginmedia promise but isn't attainable with their equipment (hub is now just a modem, which it serves well).

Good for boosting wifi signal quality, not for bandwidth.
It's easy to set up however it doesn't amplify Mbps as much as I would have hoped but it does improve signal strength. Depending on use this is most important bit.I positioned mine one floor above router, one room along and I connect to the extension from a room further along. I can connect to the router from that room but my wifi signal was -70 or worse. What's the difference? Well bandwidth is no faster going through the extender in fact it is actually slower routing through the extender than connecting to the main hub BUT wifi signal is much stronger. For my use that's the most important bit connecting VOIP over Skype etc. I may not be getting more bandwidth (less in fact) bit I still get enough, however the stronger signal is making voice quality when WFH is much better. If you are wanting fast bandwidth this might not be for you, if you want crisper signal / reception then this will work well.As for devices switching router > extender > router as I walk around the house this does seem to work well for mobiles but my laptop does need a manual disconnect and reconnect, might be that it is better holding a weaker signal.Worth the money? Probably. Still expensive though IYAM.

Very simple to set up.
This is the easiest extender to set up that I have ever had. Literally within 10 minutes of opening the box it was up and running, providing strong signals where I needed them. An excellent product.

Sounds like the best .... but not for me.... Looking for another product now!
I read many of the reviews prior to purchase, I am not a 'Tech Guy' but this product was sold to me by the on line talk and the reviews. I was very very hopeful. Sadly after returning the first to Amazon - the second has proven to be exactly the same....Please note I have cut and pasted this review from "Tomi April 22nd 2018" - When I read it - sadly, it is 99.9% the same as my installation!!!The WPS setup is very simple, so getting up and running is a nice experience. From the go, the extender seems to do a great job of greatly extending the WIFI.Unfortunately, the experience goes downhill very fast. Despite the indicator lights showing 'the best connection', 2.4/5ghz connections etc, the extender frequently disconnects, to the point that the best improvement I can make to my wifi is to turn it off.I have tried all workarounds in the support articles and also called support. The usual firmware upgrade, changing channels on the router, repositioning etc. but with no noticeable difference.Ultimately, the extender makes any Wi-Fi issues far worse as half the time it will now not work route internet traffic at all, not just the previous reduced speeds without it.Not only does the extender fail due to the disconnecting issues, I found the lack of diagnostics inexcusable. The extender should be able to log the precise reason why it cannot route internet traffic, be it out of range, channel issues or whatever. The support approach is to keep trying random changes, in the hope that one will have a positive effect. To display all lights signalling to a user that all is perfect, when it, in fact, is not working/dropped its connection to the router, for me categorises this as an untrustworthy product.

Flawless with my Airport Extreme
I LOVE this little guy. Best extender ever. I useed it to extend the wifi signal from my Apple Airport Extreme, and it worked perfectly, extending both my 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz networks, using the same name, so no need to disconnect and connect to other network everytime i move between rooms. All my devices (macbook pro, iphone, ipad..) switch between the Airport Extreme and the Nighthawk seemlesly, maintaining my full wifi speed in double the distance. Installation is very easy (pairing with the Extreme through WPS was a breeze), and so all you have to do is find a good in between spot to plug the Nighthawk in so your signal can be boosted to reach the ends of the house that had poor signal. Other extenders are a nightmare to setup and when you finally do figure it out, you end up with two wifi network names that you have to manually swith between most of the times, is a hussle. With the Nighthawk you get a premium experience. Absolutely love it.
