Acoustic Guitar Tab White Pages

Slightly Convoluted steps to get readable music
Because the bulk of this book is guitar tablature and musical notation, I think people should know that the formatting for that on Kindle is a bit awkward. The music is, apparently embedded, meaning it doesn't scale if you adjust the text size, however, just today I discovered what I can do on my Kindle touch (not a fancy Kindle Fire or anything, on which devices things might be easier, I don't know): You have to highlight the music by touching and holding, after which a magnifying glass with a + sign will appear. Click the + sign and you will now see only the music, not the title. Once you have "zoomed" in on the music, you can use the pinching gesture, moving outward from a central point, to zoom in further. Thus, if you have a slightly older kindle, as I do, it's a bit convoluted, but it can be done. I also prefer to switch the settings to Landscape mode while reading the tabs and music, so that I can see at least an entire row at a time.If you don't follow these steps, it will be so small as to be nearly impossible to read, at least on a regular Kindle or Kindle touch. I can't speak for more advanced devices like the Fire and so on.

Keeping from boredom
Plenty of songs to keep me wanting to learn more and more and just when I thought I've looked thru its entirety here comes a song I had no clue was even in the book and boredom is chased away once again all over again

Really useful collection.
Though as an older beginner I couldn't care less about a lot of the songs in this collection, there are a lot of songs in here I would like to learn to play, and this tab comprehensive format makes it easy. I have purchased online lessons for songs from various teachers, and more often than not find myself returning to this book to correct the tab provided in the paid lesson. When I first started playing, I met with a young teacher who told me to throw out all my music books, because all published tabs and especially internet tabs are wrong and basically worthless. He had been playing and performing his entire life, and was really talented at transcribing songs by ear. I have learned a number of songs from this book, and for what I want to do -- just gain a deeper appreciation for songs I love by learning to play them -- books like this one, along with the abundant free or low-cost lessons online, have been really helpful. It is probably true that no one resource is going to give you the perfect as-recorded note-for-note transcription of any given song, but these arrangements will give you a pretty good approximation, and in some cases, sound really good. Highly recommend.

Amended Kindle Version
This is a good all around copy of famous and popular acoustic songs. They are the usual Hal Leonard quality (however you may rate that). My complaint with this Kindle version is that there are only 128 songs, as opposed to the paperback (and advertised) version 150 songs. So beware there are 22 songs missing from the hard copy They are:.American TuneAnd I Love HerAngieBlack StarThe BoxerBreakfast In The FieldCajon StompFriends In Low PlacesGenesisGirlHelplessly HopingIce Cream ManMichelleMona RayMule Skinner BluesNorwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)Not Fade AwayRun-AroundRunning On FaithSigneUncle Tom's CabinYesterday

Excellent addition to my Guitar White Pages library
I love the Guitar White Pages series. Just recently bought my first nice acoustic guitar, a Martin HD28, so now I want to learn more acoustic songs. This book delivers.

Very satisfied
This book is jam packed with lots and lots of songs. Most of them are popular guitar standards from several generations and a variety of artists from several genres. Music is transcribed using tableture and standard notation. Songs are written using the real music (this is no "fake" book), you'll be learning the songs the way they're meant to be played. If you're an accomplished musician, this is a good book for you. If you're a novice, I'd stay way from this one for now...Learned so much from these, they are way better than any ive had before. Ive even let a few friends borrow them also. I highly recommend this product you will not be dissapointed.

Fine book
Fantastic, a lot of fun to play along with some of the acoustic songs in this book! As mentioned before, the text is small, but the trade-off is worth it for the amount of product you receive and the high quality of the transcriptions. There are pieces of music in there for many different skill levels. The book was put together well and it would be easy to put some covers together and have fun with friends on the weekends, it could be a good resource to use in order to learn songs and play some gigs as well.

What it is: Accurate tabs to the full songs listed
The problem is most of these songs I've never heard of and I am not new to classic rock or rock music.Sometimes you won't get simple strumming patterns but an OCD-level precision of the strumming, including if a particular string was accidentally missed in the original recording. I think the Dm chord for Dust in the Wind is wrong though.I kind of regret buying this because it takes up so much space and I've only heard of 15 songs in the whole book. There are too many niche songs.

Best amount of songs for your dollar!
Let me get this out of the way first; You will not know every song in this book. Chances are you probably will never like all the songs in the book either. What this book has going for it is that it packs in a lot of songs in various styles and influences that will make it a must own for almost everyone. The tabs are very accurate, some are even overly complex ("Let Her Cry" - I'm looking at you. You dont need a capo on the 7th fret for all the fills.) but for the most part everyone should be able to find 15+ songs that they want to learn, and you would normally pay this price for a book of just 15+ songs. In today's age of iTunes and MP3s, this book will open you up to artists that you have never heard of, or have heard of and had no idea who they were. My one true complaint comes from the binding of the book. While mine hasn't fallen apart yet (knock on wood) for a book this size I expected it not to feel so flimsy. At least the book stays open to any of the over 1000 pages without pages flipping over on you. This is a must own for anyone who has an acoustic guitar and wants to learn more songs. One more thing, if you don't have a capo for your guitar (or even know what one is) research and get one. A lot of acoustic songs require one.

Excellent guitar tab book with lots of popular songs
Excellent book that include tabs and chords. It is very thick book so need to use on a heavy stand. the one caveat is some of the type / font is small so hard to read, but is a trade off for the content. The material to my ears sounds on key /accurate and enjoy this book. I have 2 others from this series, so would recommend and will purchase more in the future.

Pretty good book. Good tabs. Tough for a novice though. Good variety of difficulty but not too many beginners.

Some excellent Tabs and a great reference book, and I recommend it on your shelf!
The White Pages Series of Books is an excellent reference for your guitar tab collection. Where I feel it loses one star is that some tabs look to be computer generated and needs the skills of a contortionist to hit that pattern, whereas you can instantly see the correct way to play. That said, I've created a list of all the songs in the book for your reference as it is hard to distinguish which of the white pages series may be a reprint or if they contain different songs, so here's the full track list (I may have mad a spelling mistake or two, but it's all here) :-About A Girl , NirvanaAcross The Universe , The BeatlesAdia , Sarah McLachlanAll I Want , Toad The Wet SprocketAmerican Tune , Paul SimonAmerican Woman , The Guess WhoAnd I Love Her , The BeatlesAngie , The Rolling StonesAnnie's Song , John DenverAt Seventeen , Janis IanBack on The Chain Gang , The PretendersBarely Breathing , Duncan SheikBe Bop a Lula , Gene VincentBehind Blue Eyes , The WhoBest of My Love , The EaglesBitch , Meredith BrooksBlack Star , Yngwie MalmsteenBlackbird , The BeatlesBlowin' in the Wind , Bob DylanBlue Eye's Cryin in the Rain , Willie NelsonThe Boxer , Paul SimonBrahms Lullaby , Alex DegrassiBreakfast in the Field , Michael HodgesBreaking the Girl , Red Hot Chili PeppersBuilding a Mystery , Sarah McLachlanCajon Stomp , The Farr Brothers/Sons of PioneersCan't You See , Marshall Tucker BandChange The World , Eric ClaptonChicago , Graham NashClose My Eyes Forever , Ozzy Osbourne with Lita FordCome To My Window , Melissa EtheridgeCrazy Little Thing Called Love , QueenCrying , Don McLeanDark Hollow , The Grateful DeadDear Prudence , The BeatlesDo You Believe In Magic? , The Lovin' SpoonDon't Treat Me Bad , FirehouseDrive , IncubusDust In The Wind , KansasFast Car , Tracy ChapmanFight the Good Fight , TriumphFor the Sake of the Call , Steve Curtis ChapmanFriends in Low Places , Garth BrooksGalileo , Indigo GirlsGenesis , Jorma KaukonenGettin' Better , TeslaGirl , The BeatlesGo Let It Out , OasisHave You Ever Really Loved a Woman? , Bryan AdamsHelp Me Make It Through The Night , Kris KristoffersonHelplessly Hoping , Crosby, Stills, Nash and YoungHere and Now , Letters to CleoHere Comes the Sun , The BeatlesHold My Hand , Hootie and the BlowfishHold On , Sarah McLachlanHomeward Bound , Simon and GarfunkelHoneysuckle Rose , Django ReinhardtHow's It Going To Be , Third Eye BlindI Am a Man of Constant Sorrow , The Soggy Bottom BoysIce Cream Man , Van HalenIf You Can Only See , TonicIris , Goo Goo DollsJack and Diane , John MellencampJessica , The Allman Brothers BandJumper , Third Eye BlindJust a Song Before I Go , Crosby, Stills and NashKind Hearted Woman Blues , Robert JohnsonLandslide , Fleetwood MacLast Night I Had the Strangest Dream , Simon and GarfunkelLayla , Eric ClaptonLeader of the Band , Dan FogelbergLearning To Fly , Tom PettyLeaving on a Jet Plane , Peter, Paul and MaryLet Her Cry , Hootie and the BlowfishLet's Live for Today , The Grass RootsLittle Martha , The Allman Brothers BandLoser , Beck(Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection , NelsonLove Of A Lifetime , FirehouseLove Song , TeslaLover, You Should've Come Over , Jeff BuckleyMaggie May , Rod StewartThe Magic Bus , The WhoThe Man Who Sold The World , NirvanaMe and Bobby McGee , Kris KristoffersonMelissa , The Allman Brothers BandMichelle , The BeatlesMona Ray , Leo KotkeMore Than Words , ExtremeMr. Jones , Counting CrowsMule Skinner Blues , Jimmie RodgersMy Name Is Jonas , WeezerName , Goo Goo DollsNights In White Satin , The Moody BluesNorwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) , The BeatlesNot Fade Away , The Rolling StonesNuages , Charlie ByrdOh, Lonesome Me , Neil YoungOur House , Crosby, Stills, Nash and YoungOver Now , Alice In ChainsPatience , Guns N' RosesPinball Wizard , The WhoPink House , John MellencampRun Around , Blues TravelerRunning On Faith , Eric ClaptonSan Franciscan Nights , Eric Burdon and The AnimalsScarborough Fair , Simon and GarfunkelShow Me The Way , Peter FramptonSigne , Eric ClaptonSigns , TeslaSilent Lucidity , Queensryche(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay , Otis ReddingSlide , Goo Goo DollsSmall Town , John MellencampSoak Up The Sun , Sheryl CrowSouthern Cross , Crosby, Stills and NashSpace Oddity , David BowieSpanish Caravan , The DoorsStay the Night , ChicagoSuite Madam Blue , StyxSuite: Judy Blue Eyes , Crosby, Stills and NashSuperman (It's Not Easy) , Five for FightingSweet Home Chicago , Robert JohnsonSweet Talkin' Woman , Electric Light OrchestraTake a Picture , FilterTake Me Home, Country Roads , John DenverTeach Your Children , Crosby, Stills and NashTears In Heaven , Eric ClaptonThis Land Is Your Land , Woody Guthrie3:00 AM , Matchbox 20Time for Me To Fly , REO SpeedwagonTime In A Bottle , Jim CroceTo Be With You , Mr. BigTorn , Natalie ImbrugliaTravelin' Man , Ricky NelsonTwo Out of Three Ain't Bad , Meat LoafUncle Tom's Cabin , WarrantUp On The Roof , James TaylorWake Up Little Susie , The Everly BrothersWhen The Children Cry , White LionWherever You Will Go , The CallingWildwood Flower , Carter FamilyWonderwall , OasisYankee Doodle Dixie , Chet AtkinsYellow , ColdplayYesterday , The BeatlesYou Were Meant For Me , JewelYou're In My Heart , Rod StewartYou're Only Lonely , J.D.
