The TPI 565C1 anemometer with telescoping hot-wire probe reaches into tight spaces to measures air velocity in m/s, fpm, knots, mph, and km/h and air temperature in degrees C and F; and has record, recall, and hold functions for analyzing air flow. The meter records and recalls minimum, maximum, and average readings and its data hold function freezes a reading on the display to aid documentation. For transferring and storing data directly to a PC, the meter has an output terminal for connecting to the RS-232 serial port of a compatible PC (interface cable sold separately). The LCD shows air velocity and temperature readings simultaneously. The meter has an auto power-off mode that shuts it down after 10 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life and has a low-battery indicator. It has European Conformity (CE) marking. This anemometer is used for monitoring air flow and temperature in ductwork, spray booths, and exhaust hoods, among other applications. Anemometers, also called wind meters, measure air velocity and are most commonly used for weather monitoring to determine wind speed and for HVAC applications to determine air flow within ducts.
