Saw did the job.
If you have been looking at meat saws like I was and trying to not spend money on junk that won't work I hope you find this helpful. I looked at review after review and went with this model mainly due to price. The saw arrived with the original box inside of another box and was not damaged when I received it. There were a lot of small parts to put together but the top portion of the saw was already assembled. You have to put the base stand together with the motor and mount and the power switch and cord. If you will group all of the bolts together before you start it helps tremendously. The instructions were not clear about the motor mount and the angle iron for the stand that the motor attaches to. The blade and guides need to be adjusted and can be tweaked using a large crescent and or rubber mallet. A 5 minute fix. You do have adjustments for the blade tracking both top and bottom. Once I was satisfied with the tracking I tried it out processing a hog.The saw did great. I cut pork chops, ham steaks and ribs with no problems. The pig was around 325lb on foot. I was able to cut the large pieces down using the saw freehand and then used the guides to do the individual cuts. As long as you cut with the bones straight into the blade it will do just fine. I had one issue of the blade deflecting and touching the table when I hit a hip bone to the blade at an angle. After trimming and prepping the pieces for the saw. I was able to process the whole hog in about 30 minutes. The meat was at 28 degrees when cut. Next time I will take it down to 20 to stiffen it up more. I'm sure it would cut frozen meat just fine. The cleanup is a job in itself. Once I figured out what needed to be disassembled it took around 45 minutes using my cordless drill with a hex bit. That 45 minutes is well worth not having to make all the cuts by hand. The meat grinder is a absolutely useless by design. I would suggest a different grinder. All in all I am happy with my purchase. For the money I can say I got what I paid for, but if you are only using the saw occasionally it is a good investment. It is built with some parts that are thin and cheap but the motor and saw portion are built fairly sturdy with c channel. The sliding table is thin but braced enough to make it work. There are plenty of improvements that wouldn't be any issue on a more expensive saw but that isn't what this is.

Cuts geats but a bit hard to clean
I cut up a large beef and a couple of deer with this saw. It did the job but you have to be careful with the largest sections of meat and not let the blade go out of track. The meat grinder worked very well and handled everything I pit in it. It is a major effort to clean the saw and I needed to cover the motor real well with plastic then use a power washers. It take several hours to clean inside. It does come a part to clean but it has numerous Allen nuts that need to be removed. It is not a tool for someone who does not know how to operate a meat saw or clean one. It is an overall good deal for the money.

Good quality for the price
We looked at several meat band saws for Home Butchering and have not had to buy one for years. We Decided on this brand it worked very well for cutting a cow and a pig . It has been a long time since we had to buy one . It resembled a lot like the one we had before .We had seen good reviews and some not so good reviews but we were very satisfied with our purchase , Thanks you .

I would not buy it again
When adjusted correctly the saw works very well. The process of getting it adjusted correctly is very hit and miss.

Very sturdy, will cut through duck, sheep and goat bones with ease.
Very sturdy meat cutter. It's a little bit difficult to assemble. The cover that house the blade needs to be removed for a thorough cleaning if not it will stink! I used it to cut ducks, goat, sheep and it cut through the bones with ease. Should have thought of a different or easier way to clench the machine.

A Waste of Money
Took 3 hours to assemble by 2 qualified and knowledgeable men. At the first use, the blade came off the pulleys which were in a part that was already assembled when it was received. Would not stay aligned and cut into the stainless steel table top. Would not cut all the way through a piece of meat with bone in it. Tried sausage grinder and it did not grind the meat, but turned it into a gooey mush! That was $329.00 down the drain! If you are a glutton for punishment and a loss of your money, ignore this review and buy you one of these miserable little monsters!

but my partner has and was very pleased at the price
I have not used it yet, but my partner has and was very pleased at the price. He knows much more than I about the thing and says it is not a heavy duty machine, but will do what we need.
