it worked! My friend loves mermaids. Her impeccable taste in decor can sometimes be intimidating. I sent thank yu gifts to her and her husband for hosting us in Italy. (!) Among all the cutesie mermaid stuff on the web, I found this piece which looks stunning but who can really tell online? And on Amazon no less? But because this mermaid is so beautiful, I took the plunge. II didn't hear anything back from her for weeks, which made me picture her sitting there trying to write a thank you note for something way sub par. I got a note thanking us for her husband's gift but not hers. When I mentioned it, she said, "OMG - it was you! I didn't expect another gift from you, and there was no card [happens way too often on Amazon that the card doesn't get through, by the way]." Bottom line, she loves it.

The quality is exceptional! The detail is magnificent ! It is so beautiful! It adds charm to my bathroom. I thought it was a little pricey when I bought it but it is definitely worth the price for the quality I received.
