The last one?
For now, Legal Drug #3 looks like the last volume in the series even though TokyoPop currently has a forth volume listed as "Coming Soon". As of now, CLAMP and the Japanese publishing house are in a standoff over further releases of this hot series so it has been put on hold for the moment. And the review... talk about fanservice! You couldn't swing a Clow Card without hitting a homoerotic inuendo! Those that love Yaoi and especially CLAMP Yaoi will love this volume. The story follows the two leads on an undercover assignment to retrieve a ring from an all boys school... well, if you've been reading the series you won't need me to tell you what the rest of the story is like. i.e. lots of innocent misunderstandings, chemistry, the supernatural, chemistry... and , oh, yeah! Chemistry! As a bonus, there is a short story that takes us back to the begining of the series when Rikuo brought Kazahaya to the Green Drugstore (as seen in Volume 1). A very interesting flashback and a very Yuko like statement suggesting that Kazahaya was destined to meet Rikuo.Oh, and we get TokyoPop's first class printing with translucent innner pages and colour openings scenes! Just like the Japanese edition and you've got to love that!

found one at a used book store and happy to find more on Amazon!
I enjoy this odd manga. It's kind of hard to find and I don't know much about it. So far the first three are interesting, hope I can find more!

Not as described
The condition was not as expected, I had ordered other books described in similar fashions that came in better condition than the one I got. Nonetheless I liked the unique plot of the book.

A cool series
I don't quite know what it is about Legal Drug that I like so much, but something about it just works! This is definitely one of my favourite among Clamp's series. The story centres around two characters, Rikuo and Kazahaya, two seventeen year old boys who are both working for a pharmacy. However, they both have powers, which leads to the shop owner, Kakei, also giving them sinister tasks/jobs to perform. Thus the manga has the magical/fantasy element present in a lot of Clamp's work.Within each volume, chapters focus on the different missions the boys perform. As a result, chapters are kind of free-standing, story-wise. There are developing plot threads too though, including the increasing closeness between Rikuo and Kazahaya; secrets in both the boys' pasts; and also the mystery of what the shop owner, Kakei, is exactly up to.On the whole I find the characters likeable and well-developed, and the plot is interesting and engaging too. I think the art in Legal Drug is really beautiful and edgy as well. I would definitely recommend this series- it's been on hiatus for a long time now, but will hopefully be completed at some point!

So Good It SHOULD Be Illegal!
From the amazing, intrepid studio CLAMP comes a story about a drugstore that is a cover for some psychic, supernatural, goings-on. In a manga "Queer As Folk," all the characters are gay. Not only gay, they all possess some degree of psychic powers.Seventeen year-old Kudo, a blond boy, was found shivering and depressed on a wintry city street by Rikuo, also seventeen. Kudo does not remember much, or will not speak, of where he is from. Rikuo took him to Green Drugstore. Rikuo's boss, Kakei-san, said Kudo could share a room with Rikuo over the drugstore. Now Kudo tries to earn extra cash by going on "side jobs" for his boss. These side jobs involve tree fairies, invisible fireflies, and strange movies. Kudo is almost always told to go on these jobs with Rikuo, because the boys' powers complement each other. Kudo gnashes his teeth at this, but we can all see the shounen-ai tension building! Another character hangs around Green Drugstore, and provides some comic relief: the huge, lazy Saiga-san, who sleeps with his sunglasses on and has a thing going with Kaikei-san.The book design itself is very cool: black, with a very relaxing shade of green, and a small pic of a marijuana leaf. The front and back cover both have a waxy, crinkly, translucent paper such as you would find on some very fancy greeting cards. It is neat - I never saw a manga book designed like this before.

my new favorite series
I'm going to be honest. When I first bought this book, I had no idea that it was a yaoi title. I just say the title and read the back and thought this sounds interesting. But after reading the frist two volumes, this has become my new favorite series. It gradully introduces the yaoi theme which kinda took me by suprise because i wasn't expecting it. The first two books teases you alot. The main two people in the manga say and do things that could be taken as a joke or some more deeper meaning depending on how you read it. And i've read them many time. This is a great series if you want to get into yaoi, you can call it a starter series if you like. Because i know it got me into yaoi. Oh by the way, the people from Clamp's series Suki are also in this series.

One of my favorites!!
Now, I know that this manga gets advertised as yaoi, but I have read most of Clamp's works (Tokyo Babylon, RG Veda, X, Legend of Chun Hyang, Shirahime Syo, Magic Knight Rayearth---this one was so-so; little too young for me, Wish, The one I love, Suki) and I'd have to say this is one of my favorite mangas. I don't think they should be advertised as yaoi, because its really just good, original plotline with 2 male characters who happen to be very open.Tokyo Babylon is my favorite manga (not just out of clamp's works) and they also have 2 male characters who happen to love each other. Its really not yaoi. If you want yaoi, get "Kizuna" or go to [...]You may be disappointed if you buy this book expecting action, but if you just want an awesome manga (and who doesn't!!!) please purchase this....you won't regret it!

Legal Drug
I really like this series and although I know CLAMP abandoned the series, I still continue to hope they will pick it back up. Every year I check to see if any news has come out as to re-publication or continuation. It ended just as some of the major plot twist were starting to surface. Hopefully CLAMP will re-look their decision to end this series (I can hope).

Legal Drug by CLAMP
This is a very cute (wanting to be ^ - shonon ai)Like CLAMPS works it is well put together and has a way of pulling you into the story. Though unlike CLAMPS other works this one is not yet completely published (in English at this time); it is still a CLAMP fans must have. Especially if you like Tsubasa Resivoire Chronicles characters (character design and personality) Fai and Kurogane. With CLAMPS familiar character designs and ability to bring in characters from they're other series into any of they're work (like Mokona who jumps through Magic Knight Ray Earth, Tsubasa Resivoire Chronicles, xxx holic, etc.) You are sure to enjoy and want to read more from this series and from well known Mangaka's CLAMP.
