REVIEW OF THE S60First of all, I'd like to say the seller is an extremely friendly vendor, with great communication. He's quick to reply, with almost instant replies, and he does his best to instantly solve any issues that may come up, not that any do with the item. He's also very understanding and always puts the customer ahead.—————————————————————DELIVERYSo I ordered the item without Amazon Prime, and had a very swift delivery, quicker than my other experiences with free delivery. It came on the first day of the estimated delivery date, which gave me a very pleasant surprise!The packaging was amazing, within the Amazon box was another box, securely packaged, but very easy to cut through with a blunt Swiss Army knife. Inside the package you find the actual steadicam unit, held in place with a styrofoam type material, however it was much more spongy to prevent any damage. There was also a bag inside the package, alongside the actual device.—————————————————————ASSEMBLYPutting together the item was extremely easy, the weights were already attached to the unit, and the unit that holds the camera was inside of the bag. The camera holding unit slid straight into its slot without any struggle, it had a very sturdy smooth finish to it.—————————————————————BALANCING THE STEADICAMAlthough there were no instructions included in the package, I found that with the aid of a couple YouTube videos I was more than capable of teaching myself. For some it might be harder to grasp but honestly if you just fiddle around with it for a good 1-2 hours you'll be an expert in no time. The weights were excellently distributed, with two heavier weights, and four lighter weights which altogether are equal to the weight of the two heavier weights. These are in the same colour and material as the actual unit so they sit very flush with the whole thing. Also the upper section which holds the camera has a very convenient circular design with a level bubble inside. This makes minor and major adjustments very easy, and it's also very easy to get an accurate drop time. Within 20 minutes I had grasped balancing the steadicam. I recommend the following playlist, it is very helpful. Momentum Productions makes some great Steadicam videos on YouTube, to help with balancing and general use of the Steadicam.—————————————————————MATERIALAt such a low price I initially expected a very cheap flimsy aluminium which wouldn't be very strong or stable, however, I was pleasantly surprised with a solid build, and very solid joints. Even with a considerable amount of shake nothing came loose and it kept it's integrity. Furthermore, the bag has a solid look to it, and I'd be more than comfortable carrying the steadicam inside of it. The gimbal unit is very fluid and of extremely high quality, it aids the stabilisation very much!—————————————————————OVERALL IMPRESSIONOverall, I was very pleased with the device, it does an excellent job at stabilising footage at such a cheap price! It easily balances a Nikon D3300 with a LED Flash Unit on top. I am yet to test it against a more expensive stabiliser but I doubt it will be very different. PositivesGood quality parts. Hand grip is comfortable. Once set up, this kit works very well.NegativesThe screws are fiddly to tighten and untighten.My kit came with three identical weights (150g each, approximately). A single 150g weight is far too heavy to counterbalance a small camera. Consequently, I've had to slice one of my weights with an angle grinder. Couldn't source any alternative weights, unfortunately.Tips on setting upSetting up the kit for the first time can be very tricky and frustrating. However, if you persist you will be rewarded. Take your time, and if you struggle (as I did) take a look at the instructional videos that are available online - they're really useful.It took me a few sessions. I walked away from the setup a couple of times (to calm down) but eventually I got the feel for it. Now I'm a happy bunny enjoying stable video shots.

Actually quite a good item but does need careful setting up. There are videos on Youtube which will help you with it. It is quite heavy but there again it has to be to do the job. It does require a practiced technique to use correctly but once you have the hang of it, it does work well. Well made and well finished.

Product was robust and well packaged, I would say from looking at other brands in some cases more then 10 times more expensive, I could not really see a difference. Instructions were not great but plenty on YouTube to show you simple and effective tips. I also have larger “official” SLR / video camera steadying unit which is also great and cost 12 times more.......the difference in shot production is for general purposes indusernable. Like any other stabiliser think about accessories and lens changes or movements which may affect the fulcrum....get those right and it can be set in about 4-5 mins (I have made small marks on the arms of the unit and notes on my phone re notches depending how n which camera and lens I am using.....can set these in under a minut). I had a 2.5lb camera on mine and with a couple of light washers from my garage Added to the weights supplies I had it balanced perfectly! It is under £30.......bargain (like a budget airline flight.....may not be the most show off brand.....but it gets you there and saves cash for accessories!) It is cheaper than a round of coffee and cakes with four or five friends in high street coffee shops!! Honestly, for quick steadying......can’ complain!! Great

It's just not very good. You might be able to get decent result with practice but if anything the counter weight introduces a pendulum motion which can really mess up an action shot

If you want equipment that is well made and does the job brilliantly. Buy this steady cam device.It is robust and fits together quickly. I have been doing filming day to test equipment and Orsda Handheld has worked well as part of my lightweight kit. I am just about to travel the length of Japan filming for a month. I have no doubt the piece of equipment will exceed its price band by a huge margin. I see multiple suppliers and branded items identical for double and triple the price. Buy this one. End of story!

As a sufferer of Essential Tremor, I was fed up with all my video footage getting destroyed by my shaking hands. This stabilizer is a great help.It is a bit hard to set up properly, but I was expecting this when I ordered it.Brilliant value for money. I've seen the exact same one for triple the price.
